  1. i agree that while it doesn't have a lot of flash to it, this draft feels really good to me. i love that they drafted 3 o linemen and a couple of linebackers. the corner that they got in the first is a physical player, they are as a whole very fast and seemingly of very good character. special teams and roster depth, maybe a pleasant surprise or two. very easy to root for this group.
  2. yes and no. i am an eternal optimist but there were a few recent drafts i haven't felt real good about. having said that, i love this draft...linebackers and o-line! competition and depth, somehow, someway, we will be better because of this draft.
  3. bpa that fits our system/coaching philosophy. sorry, that's about as generic as it gets.
  4. so wait...great pass rush AND good coverage?
  5. we should swap with ne for their 2nd this year and 1st next year. the #1 overall next year will go nicely with #32, their dynasty is ovaaaah!
  6. i would be happy with keuchly at 10. having said that i think i have been on record as saying that i would be really happy with about 10-12 different players at 10. i can't wait for this draft to get here.
  7. getting wood and jackson back and healthy would be a good place to start, seems like those two had a little something to contribute last year.
  8. it is conceivable that modkins is a trusted friend of chan's, whom he is depending on to teach the offense that he wants to run to his players. curtis modkins could also be teaching general fundamentals, concepts and tecniques to his offensive players. if this is the case than i think he serves a very valuable purpose for this team. if he is "getting chan's coffee", then not so much.
  9. don't know how good we'll be when the games start but i can't wait to find out! very optimistic over here.
  10. well, i was thinking depth at center. i thought he did a pretty good job when he got the nod there. i like him starting at guard quite a bit, i am just really glad we know he can man the center spot if anything happens. really like both players and happy they re-signed.
  11. i believe both these players fall under the "proven depth" catagorie. both have starts under their belts and both held their own. i like it, i like it a lot.
  12. there's always the canadien ballet.
  13. can he play both ways? cuz if we add cox to the o-line...
  14. i think that this is just another fun "what if" scenerio that is designed to pass what seems like a frickin' eternity 'til the draft.
  15. i would be able to get really pumped up with this draft, lots of potential there.
  16. i love the concept of getting more quality picks there. the choices are debateable depending on personal preference, but i do really like the theory behind it. a team could definately get a nice talent infusion with this plan.
  17. mock drafts are purely entertainment for we, the rabid fans, who cannot wait for the real thing to get here. oh, the limitless possibilities!
  18. i am intrigued by cordy glenn. the guy is raw, but definately has the size for the position. i remember hearing all the talk of how he was dominating people at the senior bowl practices and i think i would trust that the front office put the work in and saw something they really like if he is the pick at 10.
  19. maybe a late rounder that is raw with a bunch of talent, but i definately can't see an early pick. but...if someone falls to them that they have a high grade on, you never know.
  20. i'm thinking we could really be challenging for the division this year. the additions that have been made in conjunction with the return of players lost to injury (or returning to full health after playing through injury) and hopefully some good solid picks in the draft...could be a really exciting season. these guys really seem to like their coach, each other and the community. and i think there were moments last year when the ralph was rockin' almost as hard as when it was rich stadium. if we can bring back that environment, that's not nothing.
  21. very interesting if they draft one of the "little folk" at wr. i loved the potential of roscoe parrish catching the quick stuff with a couple blockers up front. it just never really materialized for him. but, the plan is quite sound and i absolutely think there is a spot for that type of player on this team. the only question i have is: wouldn't it be better to use cj spiller in this role from time to time?
  22. there are only two problems with this: 1. we will be picking 32nd. and 2. there's no need to draft a backup to our 2012 nfl mvp ryan fitzmagic that high.
  23. i'm kinda hoping that he was still a bit raw and not quite ready to make the roster, and that he is busting his butt and burrying his nose in the playbook because he did show enough to make the ps. here's to potential being realized.
  24. seriously?!? you want a pass rusher in the first and a fast, instinctive lb in the second?!?!? what...you want a dominant defense or something? that'll never work! or will it?
