  1. absolutely. from what i've seen this year, this team has a lot of talent on it. they also have a lot of flaws. we've seen good and we've seen bad. very, very bad. but we have not seen a game where the offense and defense were on at the same time. i am hoping that this team is starting to peak. i'd love to sweep miami, split with the jets, and win the third matchup with the patsies this year.
  2. regardless of what number he is, donald jones can play. and if he is the number 2 or three guy out there i have a lot of confidence that he can beat the 2nd or third dback and make a nice play.
  3. just like the gospel preached by so many here that we would lose to the brady bunch by 80 points?
  4. i really think that the talent at wr is overall pretty good, especially when david nelson comes back. could we use an upgrade in there somewhere? absolutely. is it a priority? i don't think so. but, that's just my opinion.
  5. i think that defense in general, and linebacker specifically, are priority for the upcoming draft. i also think that a qb is a necessity. as far as who or when i have no idea, i only offer that whenever and wherever they feel like their guy is on availeable, they pull the trigger.
  6. if you look at the positives that fitz brings, i think that he is a quite capeable qb in this league, certainly for this team. he is not the long term elite qb that we all want, but i think that he is a really good bridge. if the bills draft a kid that gets it from day one that's great. but i believe that if they want to draft a kid and not rush him right in, fitz is a good caretaker. my thinking is just that they need to get a youngster in here soon.
  7. as sad as it may be, i really think that we need at least 5 back 7 players from the draft and in free agency. and it could get worse depending on what happens with byrd and whether or not williams/rogers are salvageable.
  8. i can't listen to michael irvin. i seem to get very physically ill when he speaks.
  9. i would think that our priorities are... 1a. qb to challenge and eventually replace fitz. not necessarily right now, but somebody with intelligence and ability. 1b. lb 2. lb. 3. lb. 4-7. best available players for depth/special teams.
  10. all i know is that i feel really good about fitz taking care of his own business. isn't that a kind of leadership. i mean, at that point in the game don't you just kinda say to yourself "that's MY quarterback".
  11. that, sir, would be completely irresponsible. we only give credit to our players if we win. and even then we are only aloud a backhanded compliment or two.
  12. i played all kinds of sports in school and out of it. and if that crap happens in the backyard, then there is a melee. if it happens on the field there are different rules. it wasn't like the run on miller by lucic.
  13. so when can we get these replacement refs off the field? what? oh crap.
  14. i thought it was fitting of his character that he got right up and got in the guy's face. and there was no need for retalliation simpley because fitz was fine and the flag was thrown.
  15. well, if they do meet again this season...and the bills go 1-3 in the season series...i'm cool with that!
  16. extremely. there were a lot of variables throughout the game. but for the sake of the op's argumenti think it was all about one moment, one decision, one throw. pass or fail, win or lose. i don't necessarily agree with that, but i understand it. but i was coming from the opinion that maybe it was time to throw a ref or two on the ground and stomp the crap out of them. i was having a hard time not cursing at my tv and throwing things at the walls.
  17. i believe he is just trying to illustrate that the game was there for the taking, and ultimately the qb wins or loses the game in that on moment. today, after playing a great game, fitz lost. i can't imagine how he's gotta be feeling right now.
  18. i really felt bad for fitz at the end of the game. it was truly gut wrenching.
  19. i completely understand the reality of the situation but i will always hope that they win, and every sunday i will believe they have a chance. there is a lot wrong with this team from top to bottom, but they are still my team and i will still watch them and cheer them on and hope.
  20. in this league anything is possible. let's keep in mind that there is talent on this team. mario williams, while he hasn't been a dominant force thus far, is certainly capeable of it. kyle williams and dareus in the middle have the potential to destroy an o-line. kyle moore will be pumped about starting and wanting to prove he belongs. the o line should be healthy and pi$$ed. cj and freddy should be ready to run with a purpose. and say what you want about fitz, he is due for a good game. i understand that everything i have said is all based on faith and what if's, but i am a delusional billiever!
  21. cj is absolutely a class act. but i think that the prevailing sentiment when he was drafted was not aimed at the man himself, but rather why draft a running back when that seemed to be the team's strongest and deepest position. while many hated the pick, i don't think too many hated cj.
  22. i just can't bring myself to hope for the bills to lose out. those "insignifigant wins" are like little rays of sunshine in a season of darkness.
  23. and they took it every time. it was truly depressing to watch them repeat the same mistake over and over again. you'd think after getting burned by the same thing, badly, two or three times somebody might make a defender or two aware of this strange playaction thing. like maybe, i don't know...a defensive coach?
  24. i was very disappointed with the decision of the final punt and the field goal over the 4th and short. those are times where you really have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
