  1. i strongly disagree with this, there are plenty of reasons to be excited for the upcoming season. -cj spiller expanding on the job he did last year. -rookie qb with tons of ability and a great head on his shoulders. -new gm, new head coach, new oc, new dc. -healthy mario williams, healthy kyle williams, and hopefully an emotionally healthy marcel dareus. -young, aggressive mlbs that seem to be fast and hard hitting. -young wrs that should grow as the season progresses... i think there is a lot to be excited about. oh yeah, i forgot about watching the progression of gilmore and glenn.
  2. i tend to agree with you. moving the chains, providing a huge red zone target, and providing an outlet that your (hopefully rookie) qb can trust could absolutely be a game changer,
  3. what if the ball were made kryptonite?
  4. seems like he has all the physical qualities, along with work ethic and desire. sounds like a great combination of attributes. maybe the football gods have seen fit to create and deliver to us a kid that will blend all of these fine qualities of first-ballot hall of famers and deliver us from the seemingly eternal sports inferiority complex.
  5. my dream scenario would be for buffalo to completely manhandle them at both lines of scrimmage. to see the bills physically dominate the patriots and have their way with them would be great, and for brady and belichick to try everything possible and just come up utterly defeated. i just want this team to stare down the mighty patriots and make them collectively p!$$ themselves.
  6. i think gilmore may be able to do that...well, maybe not at the same time.
  7. this made me laugh quite a bit, but if we draft this kid he's gonna look like a monkey f!@#in' a foo...yeah, you know what it'll look like.
  8. yes and no. i'm sure there are more than a handful of guys in the league that want nothing more than to try to hurt everyone around them. but i am also sure that there are a lot of great human beings that enjoy the highest level of competition in what many of us believe to be the best game ever created.
  9. i absolutely love this guy and i have to think there is a place for him on this team. his energy and optimism are incredible. i really hope that he finds a place to excel on this team, whether it be a rush backer, backup, special teamer...whatever it is. just love this kid's attitude and i respect the hell out of him as a human being.
  10. you can repeat yourself over and over but at some point the question shifts to "when are these kids gonna freakin' listen?" and the answer to that question is certainly not "after you give them a couple million dollars walkin' around money".
  11. i'm actually hoping that this has a very direct impact and goes hand in hand with the "brady on his @$$" thread. i have an extreme amount of sports hate for the patsies, and i want to see these b!@#$es get slapped!
  12. i actually think that fitz would be the ideal backup. he seems like a great guy with a lot of knowledge of the game with serious physical limitations. i would have liked for him to be the backup/mentor to ej but i understand why he's not. still wish the guy nothing but the best.
  13. if this is a catagory, might i add... Best Beard: Fitz
  14. we are really just finding ways to @#$% each other over in a more civilized manner.
  15. i would hope not. some of our newbies have made some questionable decisions in their past, maybe even some outright bonehead decisions. hernandez is seemingly on a level with a certain other former bill. kelly's team from necessary roughness?
  16. this is a huge component of the bill's legacy of losing over the past decade. hopefully with the regime overhaul and massive roster changes, the new guys will not buy into that hype. also, when people try to tell them how lousy the bills have been in recent years, they will absolutely believe "that wasn't us!". let the new regime ring in with a win vs. the new england patriots in whatever form they take the field! wouldn't he be bringing lobster rolls and crab cakes?
  17. never mind that these players and coaches have no film out right now. what you should keep in mind is that a good many of these coaches and young players have not been a part of getting debacled for the past 13 years and they just might respond in a hostile manner to everyone telling them how much they suck before they ever even take the field. i'm really hoping these guys all have a mighty big chip on their shoulder.
  18. it's my opinion that cutler gets a lot more slack than most qbs in his peer group because of his arm strength. if he made the same decisions and had the same attitude with average arm strength, he would be somebody's third stringer right now, maybe even fighting for a roster spot. but, you cannot teach "holy crap, that guy's got a rocket launcher on his shoulder!"
  19. this type of attitude is exactly what the bills have been lacking for quite some time. and i think it is exactly what the fans want to see from these boys on sundays. and especially sundays in january!
  20. i really want to see pettine "release the hounds" all over the ne offense. win, lose or draw i really hope buffalo sends the statement that they are no longer the patriots' whipping boys. and yes, i want to see brady get knocked all over the ralph to the point where he throws the be all, end all of temper tantrums. there's my sportscenter highlight!
  21. i really thought that byrd had evolved into a very solid, all around, complete safety. he is a sure tackler and has great anticipation and ball skills. in the right scheme with the right talent around him, he's in the conversation for top 5 at his position. i liked gilmore, but he was very uneven last year. did he have more reception yards against him or penalty yards? and i always swear at the tv when the bills pick dbs high in the draft. seems like i swear a lot.
  22. i think you have to let him have the chance to show you he can't be that good before you call him overrated. he had a lot less carries than most of the top backs in the league last year and had that disgusting ypc average. i know you can't just prorate the ypc by the average carries of the top backs in the league to see what he would do with it, and i see where you are coming from. but i think the jury may still be out on this one.
  23. we'll see if this is the case by the time the bills play these teams. there are a lot of variables that have yet to play out.
  24. he definitely seems easy to root for. i was intrigued with the idea of nassib leading up to the draft but ultimately was going to support whoever the bills took. i am really glad that manuel was their guy because he just seems like everything you would want for a buffalo qb. talented, humble, intelligent, driven, and very classy. i hope he has a long and successful career as the bills' qb.
