  1. Astro, thank you so much for taking the time to do this for those of us that couldn't be there. i really enjoyed your observations from these practices and really appreciate the time you took out of your days to do this. you, sir, are a good man!
  2. the "bumbling buddy" moniker made the article seem a bit like a personal attack, and came across with a definate lack of professionalism. every man is entitled to his opinion, but let's keep it classy.
  3. i'm also an easley honk. seems like he's a good kid who has had his fair share of obstacles to overcome and i'd like to see his hard work pay off. he looks like a big, fast, physical reciever. and if he does pan out then it would just feel like the karma stars are starting to line up a bit. and on a similar note, if troupe works out and moates finds a home...
  4. i agree with this, i think that the majority of these penalties should go away with time and experience. they seem to be mental errors and aggressive mistakes which should be highly correctable, we'll see how they progress.
  5. while these stats are only through 2 preseason games, they are something to get excited about (if you don't mind billieving a bit and being a bit hopeful). this may be indicative of the systems the new coaching staff are trying to employ as well as getting the most out of these players by getting them to buy into said systems and the concept of "team". i really like what i have been seeing from the preseason and am looking forward to how it carries over into the regular reason.
  6. my opinion on pot doesn't matter right now. the only thing that matters is that is illegal and against nfl policy. well, actually the only thing that matters is that it's against nfl policy...so don't @#$#@$ do it while you are under contract in the nfl.
  7. he hasn't proven himself to be a great nfl qb just yet, you're right. but he has shown that he doesn't look like a deer-in-the-headlights, panic-stricken, ready to puke all over yourself mess...at least in his first limited action of training wheels football. i will say though, i liked the poise, i liked the scrambling ability, i liked the throw away when nothing was there, and i liked the 2 minute drill. also liked the quick zip on the td pass to dickerson. i guess what i'm taking a long time to say here is that while he hasn't proven himself, he is showing signs of looking the part.
  8. that was the first time i had ever heard tashard choice speak. he gave an incredible interview and came across as a very humble guy with a great work ethic that has a passion for the game. loved the story of him pushing cj, great team guy.
  9. i love the overall aggressiveness of the defense. was happy that ej seemed to get more comfortable as the game went on and "peaked" durring the 2 minute run capped with a nicedart for a td. special teams seemed to do well all around, and holy crap is goowin fast! lastly, it looked like the bills were hitting way more than getting hit. if these are all trends...good times could be coming our way!
  10. i'm glad easley had a good game and i hope he continues. his possible continued good performance pushes the other recievers to work that much harder and also makes the coaches decisions that much harder. and on the individual player level, if he can sustain his production, then he will have a good chance to be catching balls when it matters somewhere this year. he seems like a good kid who has had a lot of adversity surrounding his health and i would like to see him finally break through to some playing time. seems like there are some real potential nfl recievers in this battle...love it!
  11. if they are losing because of poor special teams or poor depth at db or lg you don't cut your team captain and more than capable number 2 running back, you cut the special teamer or db or lg and go get a new one.
  12. freddy needs to be a part of the game plan, and there is no indication that he won't be. he has tremendous value to this team on and off the field. it is very clear that the torch has been passed from fred to cj, but to think that he should be phased out is just crazy talk. he gives all he's got every play (which has gotten him in trouble with fumbles as of late) and is an emotional leader for the bills. also, i think that his role as player/leader/mentor is going to pay large dividends for this very young team.
  13. kyle williams is an asset to the team and the community. a great guy and a pretty good football player that gives all he's got when he's on the field. he is also an asset to the nfl, and i think there are a lot of guys in the league like him. guys that are humble, honest and appreciative, but those people do not get the coverage that players who make horrible choices get. unfortunately that says a lot about our society...but yeah, very happy kyle williams is a buffalo bill.
  14. nicely done. have you considered having these guys doing any in-game commentary from the stands? maybe have a guest appearance by elvis? or maybe even interviews with players or coaches? and to be fair, when i've heard people picking on the buffalo "accent", they do sound a bit chicagoish.
  15. i disagree only because if kolb is the starter then the excitement will merely be postponed. it will be like your parents telling you they got you just what you wanted for christmas, but it's on layaway. you can swing by the store to see it, but you just can't have it yet.
  16. what the hell was Ralph Wilson doing in Seattle last year?
  17. the highlight videos are nice. i take them with a grain of salt because they are just a selection of a person's best plays set to music. having said that, i must say that even though the runs were nice, i was really impressed by the overall "arm talent". not only can ej sling a nice, tight spiral down the field on a rope, but he also has some nice touch as well as the ability to throw on the run. also, very impressed with the "rally the troops" moment at the end of the first clip. i am really looking forward to seeing this guy play some ball in a bills uniform!
  18. agreed. there is trying to carry on with everyday life with back pain. and then there is trying to fight of multiple 300+pounders with back pain. a human being can push themselves through a lot of things, but back injuries are not one of those things. i really hope troup is healthy so he can give his best and see if that is good enough.
  19. it doesn't necessarily have to be all about stats, performance and value. going to the prowbowl is also about reputation, marketability and popularity. stevie has got those in spades.
  20. cj and stevie because they are already established. and stephon gilmore i think has a shot, as does jairus byrd, especially with the amount of talk there will be surrounding him this year because of his contract situation. and if mario has a fire lit under him he will dominate the opposition and go to the pro bowl, he just has such a physical advantage over most of his peers.
  21. i'm gonna go with a perfect circle's version of imagine... another good perfect circle song that i would think fits this description is 3 libras
  22. i have to disagree here. i was mesmerized by bane in this movie, he was just so frickin' evil in a very nontraditional bad guy role. his complete sense of self control and restraint was great, his voice was creepy as hell, and he was physically imposing. ann hathaway was very good for her part, as was joseph gordon-levitt. this movie was not a standard action movie and i think if you were to cut it down and make it such, you would effectively ruin the movie.
  23. was looking for good places in the area to go "motor boating".
