  1. i was not a T.O. fan at all and hated the signing as i thought it was a bomb waiting to explode in the locker room. but, as you stated, everything was good on the T.O. attitude/personality front. in the end i didn't much like the signing because at the time i wanted to see the youngsters play, but how were you not going to play owens?
  2. i really like frank summers. glad he is signed. i will be interested to see if mcclain can truly compete for a starting spot or possibly provide good depth. and while i like hogan, i am really hoping that the bills end up with better than him on the active roster. i also hope that hogan pushes all the WRs to really have to fight for their spot on the team.
  3. i would love to see this guy play with a chip on his shoulder. when he was drafted i thought that he was supposed to be and aggressive player and hard hitter. there have been a few moments where i thought i saw some of that, but few and far between. i'd love to see him put it all together and become a steady and solid contributor,
  4. no way they drop. all last year i remember people coming out of the woodwork to tell me how great this class of QBs is going to be. i would bet my house that 8 of the first 10 picks are QBs.
  5. you know, the next hall of famer that we gave up on too soon and the colts pick up. we might as well just become the indy's developmental team.
  6. be careful with this line of thinking. buffalo has enough of a negative perception out there without forcing a player to stay here against his will. players around the league would view this in a bad light, as well as maybe some players in this locker room. letting byrd walk sucks, but forcing him to stay and creating a mess, and probably a really bad mess, could be worse. take the money you were going to use on byrd and start hammering out some extentions for talented youngsters that want to be here.
  7. agreed on fletcher, but if i recall correctly there was a large crowd of fans that criticized him for making all of his tackles 5-10 yards down the field. (similar criticism to pozluzny) and there was also a very large contingent of fans (myself included) that wanted lynch gone because he seemed to be a raging a-hole off the field, and also looked to be heading for a year long suspension because of his off field antics and run ins with the law.
  8. if there are a bunch of players that the bills have rated really close together and there are a bunch of different directions they could go, then i am all for the trade down. especially if you could get three starters, or heavy contributors, in the the first two rounds. i am just a proponent of if you love a guy that's there, grab him. (yeah, i know, somebody once loved him some aaron maybin.)
  9. there is no guarantee he's be there, if that's the guy you want, pull the trigger. my question is which has more value? ebron at 9 and whichever receiver is there that you like in the 2nd, or evans at 9 and whichever te you may like in the 2nd? (this is assuming you want a wr, te combo with the first two picks, which i would love to see)
  10. i know what you mean, i could be talked into any one of these guys and probably a few more.
  11. deep is all well and good, but if you think there is an absolute stud at your spot, pick him and don't apologize to anyone. at 9 you should be able to grab someone who is the best at what he does, go get him.
  12. i don't know as if anyone ever played harder once they got paid, because they got paid. i think that there are certain players that have a lot of talent and a competitive drive to be the best that are rewarded with huge contracts because of it. and then there are players who have moments of greatness and are given huge money for those moments with the hopes that these moments become more and more frequent.
  13. blocking, and adding another threat to go along with the big receivers.
  14. i am intrigued by benjamin, and would really like to see the bills add a wr of this type (big, jump up and get it, enough speed to run for some yac, and enough weight on the frame to brake a tackle or two). my question is whether he or evans would be the better selection. and if either would be better than ebron. i am not overly familiar with any of these players, so all opinions offer much value here.
  15. thanks for that. my daughter just said "daddy, why are you laughing, i thought you were reading football."
  16. if any of the o lineman that are unproven step up, one of moeoki and or gragg are adiquate and healthy, and stevie is kept on the roster, i don't think there are any "dire" holes. i really would like them to grab a big, skilled wr, a te, and an o lineman in the draft. and preferably in the first three rounds. i just don't really know which order is going to be the best way to go.
  17. i actually like it better without a sarcasm font, occasionally makes for some really good reading.
  18. i really enjoyed the re-emergence of carol. darryl is still an incredibly strong character (loved norman reedus since i first saw the boondock saints) and i keep on wondering when we will catch a glimpse of the next bad guy. love the overall intensity of this show.
  19. i like chandler quite a bit, but there is definite room for improvement at his position. this past year he had some decent stats, but watching him play the games, he seemed off a bit. there were some very untimely drops, that huge fumble, and seemingly no yards after contact. i don't know what it was, he just seemed to be performing worse than what the numbers showed. i would love to keep him at a modest salary, but as a free agent, some team may be willing to pay him a lot more than what the bills feel he is worth. it may be time to throw all the youngsters into the fire and see which one(s) emerge.
  20. i think he should concentrate on teaching ej to grow a big beard and take his o line out for huge steaks!
  21. ok, i see the topic headline has been changed, and to me it's a whole new conversation right now. thugs indicated a disrespectful and criminal element that i think we would all like as far away from our team as possible. nastiness, on the other hand, is something i have seen as a desired trait on this board for quite some time. i, myself have expressed interest in aquiring players that play with a lot of intensity, visual enthusiasm, and tend to play really close to the line as to whether they are hard hitting or just plain dirty. players that appear to be equal parts talented and crazy. yes, i want some players that play with a bit of "nastiness".
  22. i wouldn't call him a thug, i would classify him more as an arrogant, self-centered, loud mouthed doosh. but never would i call this man a thug.
