  1. i have no idea, but i think that could be kinda cool. o'leary seems to have taken a step since last year, and thomas is intriguing with his size and athleticism. i would imagine we will see a bit more from these folks as the year goes on. maybe it all starts this sunday.
  2. from the beginning of the game, clay just looked like he was in the zone. he was moving good, catching the ball...he just had a helluva game. very happy for him today. he takes a lot of crap for the contract and the knees, but he is dangerous.
  3. he definitely had himself a game today. i have been impressed with this defensive backfield as a whole this season, but i think he is the leader of the pack, so to speak. i am definitely happy with this signing. and it makes me feel good that he is a guy they identified, went after, and signed.
  4. i will definitely eat mine this week. tyrod made some plays that led to the win. he certainly deserves credit for that. good game!
  5. i just think that tyrod's strengths lie more in scrambling, improvising, and throwing vertically. this offense seems to be predicated on timing, anticipation, and quick decisions. it just doesn't seem like they line up. i know that injuries and changes in personnel have also effected taylor, but it just doesn't seem like the right fit. but, i am open to being wrong.
  6. i agree with this. he always struck me as a good guy that loved to scout, loved to just watch football. but he was so incredibly uncomfortable when talking to people. wish him nothing but the best.
  7. i really like the morning and afternoon shows. i don't always agree with what they say, but a lot of the time i do. they are interesting, informative, and they all have very different personalities...which i think is the most important part of being a talk show host. four hours of stats would be agony. and for the record...i LOVE the drafts! the candy draft was hilarious! i listened to it twice.
  8. i am actually worried that if taylor stays in there, it could get ugly. really ugly. buffalo fans are among the most rabid in the league. the rudest, crudest, worst behaved around. we have an incredible love/hate relationship with this team. in the eyes of many (including myself), tyrod is not the long term answer for this team, and has trouble making the quick, decisive, timing throws. he has a group of very fresh receivers, and any mistakes the offense make, fall squarely on his shoulders. if the offense as a whole continues to operate like this, and he is the qb...i think there will be a lot of negativity thrown his way.
  9. i think it is because we expected to be awful, braced for it, and were given a sliver of hope. i am a sucker for hope. i drink it up every time, and will continue to do so!
  10. regardless of what you think of him as a qb, he has shown to be a classy guy. no need to create whitty names to degrade him with.
  11. peterman. i just think he is closer to what they want as a qb. quick, decisive throws. if he succeeds, then it is found money. if not, then we continue the process and get our guy next year while grinding out this season.
  12. the problem is that tyrod the human being is fantastic. humble, hard working, accountable, everything you want. he is just not the qb for this team going forward. i, like most people, wanted to believe there was another level he could step his game up to, but it just seems that he is who he is as a qb.
  13. i was absolutely SCREAMING this in my house! this was the breaking point. even if he is worse, i am ready for peterman. just run the offense. tyrod is best at scrambling and launching down field. peterman makes the quick decision. put in the rook.
  14. big picture, i think it was still a good trade. no matter what happens this year, all the moves made were to strengthen the core starting next season. we will fight, and we will probably come up short often. gotta keep the long view.
  15. but dink n dunk seems to be peterman's game. not saying he is the savior, or a great qb...but it just seems like he is a better fit for this offense. quick decisions, short to intermediate throws.
  16. i was also very pleased with what i saw from these guys. would love for them to become a dynamic duo for years to come!
  17. the day that Ralph Wilson passed. the days following when people were sharing their stories of his life on WGR. i cried a bit while listening to some of the callers were expressing their gratitude towards the Pegulas for saving this franchise, and of what the team meant to them. i am also fairly certain that there was a lot of dust in the air when i saw that kick go wide right.
  18. and also..."we are gonna run you into the ground. you are going to hurt. but this should help ease the pain a bit".
  19. could be "shady, we are putting a lot on you, so if all goes well, you will be rewarded handsomely for your efforts. thank you. and hopefully this shows you that we intend to take care of those that take care of us. now go out there, do what you do, and give those fans something to cheer for!"
  20. some interesting choices here. i am still a sucker for the ol' fried bologna and onions!
  21. i feel much the same. the only difference being, i could see the bills as a competitive team as early as next season. if we do not package all those picks, and use them for young talent, i think this team could absolutely be a force. with the right picks, and a few nifty signings, it could definitely happen. and kw would look really nice on a team of young, hungry talent that doesn't know they are supposed to suck!
  22. my bad, i thought the whole "not an opener" part clarified that. i wish that was an opener though. beating miami in the snow just has such a wonderful feeling to it.
  23. not an opener, but the "let it snow" game against miami was pretty incredible.
  24. i think this is right. i also think there is a bit of the "better fit" thing too. now, sammy is a beast no matter where he is playing, but matthews is a reliable, almost posession style receive, and confirmed great locker guy and teammate. gaines is a "better fit" for a zone defense than darby. and then there are the 2nd and third round picks to go with it. also with sammy, there were the issues of availability, durability, and signability.
