  1. that seems like an incredible deal. the best i have seen lately is 50 cent wing night. several places seem to have that. and i keep thinking "how the hell is that a deal?". damn inflation.
  2. i love the abv of the monkeys. great value. and i also like to start with one or two, then move on and nurse a couple of something else. or just kinda take down a couple and call it a night. the Lagunitas Imperial Stout is prett darn good. and i tried their Brown Suga a while ago. it was interesting, and potent as all get out. i think it was actually 10%. i have not tried the Lil Sumpins.
  3. i love to cook. not fantastic at it, but i have my moments. i do pretty good at calzones, loaded potato skins, anything on the grill, and i make an enormous lazagna my children have affectionately dubbed "Lazagnazilla".
  4. in all fairness, i don't think i heard Puppets upon its release. i think i had heard puppets a little bit later, had time to learn this band had a couple earlier albums, checked them out, loved them, than BAM! Justice right in my earholes!
  5. they absolutely are. definitely not something you want to pound. even when being careful, it can get away from you.
  6. as luck would have it, i just cracked the sour, then saw your message. i think i will be ok as long as i keep to the monkeys tonight.
  7. i am relatively new to the craft beer scene. but i am now absolutely hooked. i really like the IPAs in the warmer weather, and the darker beers in the colder months. right now in my beer fridge i have a few JavaHead Stouts, a sixer of Sour Monkeys, and a sixer of Golden Monkeys. now the tough question...which one am i cracking open first?
  8. born and raised. got out for a bit, then came back and stayed.
  9. i remember this album coming out and completely redefining metal music for me. the combination of precision and emotion...intelligence and anger. loved it from the moment i heard it.
  10. for me it was the Master of Puppets album. that was the first exposure i had to Metallica, and the put the nail in the glam coffin for me. from that moment, i looked at music in a completely different way.
  11. the Parkview in Salamanca.
  12. the place we always went to was our hometown grocery store, which, way back when, had an amazing deli/bakery. great donuts. fantastic fresh baked cookies and rolls. and wonderful subs. not to mention the pizza and wings, and at one point, the best fish fry in town. i still find myself yearning for some of the old favorites.
  13. you are lucky in that regard. my formative years coincided with the height of glam/hair rock. just before i was old enough to know better.
  14. yeah, this was a few years ago (15yrs?). this was our go-to for all our kids' birthday parties. the worst part is, as the prices went up, the quality seemingly kept going down.
  15. i have been drinking stouts all winter. victory makes a Storm King Imperial Stout that is incredible. Long Trail's Unearthed Stout is another great one. a couple years ago i had a Magic Hat Vanilla Stout that was very, very good.
  16. absolutely blew me away the first time i saw this. still can't watch it without massive amounts of adrenaline flowing.
  17. this was my favorite band in high school. the dark and brooding melodies, the grungy chugging of the guitar, and Layne Staley's incredible voice. this album was the predecessor to the Jar of Flies, and i just loved the stripped down essence of it.
  18. i can remember our local grocery store having a "party deal", which was a sheet pizza along with a bucket of 50 wings for $29.99. now i think you may need a small loan and a cosigner for the same order.
  19. i don't think it was really that taylor got worse. i would say he pretty much stayed the same. the coordinators, scheme, and players all changed around him. a lot. but he remained fairly consistent. you know what you have, and you know how to make it work. either design the offense to utilize his strengths or let him go. he is a great person, but a flawed qb. and there are too many people giving this guy crap that he just doesn't deserve. having said that, i have been ready to move on from him for quite a while now. i am ready to adapt to the modern day passing game. i hope they are too.
  20. so...we can put you down for season tickets? you must really like that kid!
  21. bro, ro, ro your boat?
  22. going out on a limb, i will say yes. yes, he will get his shot this year. i'm going to go on record and say i truly believe he will be the next head coach of the indianapolis horseshoes!
  23. Feast. campy monster movie that was extremely gross, violent and cheesy. opening was great, and just kept right on going.
  24. don't know if it has been brought up yet, but F is for Family is a whole lotta fun. kinda like an R rated, animated That 70s Show.
  25. i have also been doing this for quite some time. can't remember where or when i first heard it, but it works for me.
