  1. if they are planning on a bridge guy that stinks, or throwing a rookie into the fire and living with the growing pains, i really hope they can find a way to get this done without giving away next year's first round pick.
  2. this is far greater than the mario buzz. this is all about the QB! and we still have over a month of speculation anxiety to get through!!!!!
  3. i disagree. to get a jump on the new nfl, we need to move up and draft the next franchise long snapper! this team is going nowhere without one. then, use the rest of the picks on the best special teamers available. we win by focusing on the most neglected third of the game. championship!
  4. these were great. that friggin' hippo just spraying $*** everywhere!
  5. if we keep doing this, maybe someday we can have every pick in the first round!
  6. the most disappointing beer i had ever bought was the White Aphro beer. can't remember which brewery it was. but it was incredibly flowery, and had an almost baby powderish aroma to it. just definitely not my cup of tea.
  7. that is disappointing. i really like all the beers i have tried from the Victory Brewing Company.
  8. i thought Chan had some really good game plans and had a very fun offense, when it was working. the whole talent thing though...was that really him saying "no, i really don't need any blue chippers. just give me some udfas and a few journeymen, and i'll be fine"? or did he really just do the best he could with what the gm had given him?
  9. i just picked up a six pack of Flying Dog's Raging B word. i had it a while ago and was pleasantly surprised. so i decided to pick up some more, and i am looking forward to cracking one open tonight.
  10. i like rosen best of all. seems to have the best overall passing skillset and i love that he wants to be more than just a great qb (and he does want to be a great qb). eventually i could be talked into any of these guys. but if i have my pick of the litter, this is the guy.
  11. i think it is part joke and part untapped resource. if your gm is smart, he can play the game and get a distinct advantage. this is something i would definitely sign up for. comp picks at worst are flyers to be used on talented, but risky players, as well as special teamers. at best, they are surprise overachieving starters or productive contributors. all cost controlled, which is important if you hae a qb you eventually want to pay 30 million a year.
  12. i am not overly concerned with the record. i just want to see a promising young qb and have a feeling like we are headed in the right direction. and some of that "draft capital" for 2019 may be spent to grab our qb this year. and i am comfortable with that too. if we get our guy, then everything else will work itself out.
  13. i absolutely believe that. tyrod taylor is far, far from a horrible qb. he has his limitations. but he also has his strengths. he is a good runner, he can improvise, he can throw on the move, he has shown the ability to keep his eyes downfield while on the run, strong arm, good deep ball, durable...with talent around him and good game design, he can succeed.
  14. don't sell yourself short. i'm sure you could come up with something absolutely horrific if you just set your mind to it!
  15. i believe most of the fanbase was ready for that as well.
  16. this was the other part of what i was thinking. if they were to "bet on themselves" with a one year deal, they could try to earn a big money deal for next year, when more teams will inevitably be looking for starting qbs.
  17. B. get your guy. pay the cost, get your guy, start moving forward.
  18. i am wondering if those two wouldn't maybe want to go somewhere to have a shot at being "the guy". like maybe arizona if they don't get one of the hot rookies. i am just wondering how appealing it would be to go to a team that is drafting "their guy" with a top pick.
  19. it almost looked at times like they purposely designed an offense to highlight his deficiencies. if clevelend's oc is a bit more savvy, taylor could have some moments there. i agree with this statement. o-line had some problems, scheme, decline of the run game. but, tyrod's limitations are well documented, and he was charged to lead the offense. there was plenty of blame to go around.
  20. great point. i am just what the heck happened last year, and if miller bounces back or disappears again. more o-line help is definitely needed. i am just wondering if miller will be salvaged or put on the scrap heap altogether.
  21. i may have said this several times tonight...but tyrod is a class act. good guy, good teammate. i was glad to have him on my team, and i wish him nothing but the best.
