  1. Happy Easter to everyone. hope that your day was exactly what you needed. me...i worked, i cooked, i ate, i destroyed the bathroom, now i am heading over to the beer thread!
  2. i watch the draft on tv, while listening to the WGR550 coverage and scrolling obsessively through TSW. oh yeah, and there are beers involved. and often times bad language.
  3. we could actually get them at the same time, which would be pretty cool. that really depends on how good he is, how good the qb is, and what kind of scheme you are running. a big guy with good hands who can run...a good te can be a wonderful thing.
  4. i never thought of brady as a guy with a rocket arm like favre or rodgers, but the guy has always had incredible accuracy and anticipation. the ball was always hitting his receiver in the hands while on the run. that far outweighs the ability to fire a laser beam.
  5. i would love to see the Bills add another TE in the draft this year.
  6. i really like the taste of Founders All Day IPA. Ohio Brewing Co. has an amazing IPA. i have only had it once but the flavor absolutely blew me away.
  7. as far as Rudolph is concerned, i think his "DNA" fits exact;y what the McBeane is looking for. hard working, strong faith (grandfather was a preacher), high character, leader, long time starter with a good size body of work, improvement from year to year, production...all the stuff that you can't really coach. he would definitely fit the process.
  8. "Reach" is a fairly subjective term. it only really applies to whether or not the team picks the prospect at the proper time. but, there is also a sliding scale of reachitude.
  9. i think i have only ever had the 60 minute ipa from dogfish head. i thought it was good, but not great. a while ago i had sampled some beers from the Ohio Brewing Co. there were some damn fine beers there. damn fine.
  10. i just picked up a six because i had to try it for myself. while i do not find it unenjoyable, it is definitely ordinary. i find it goes better after a golden monkey.
  11. because i have daughters, i have been subjected to mass amounts of ed sheeran. you know what? i like a lot of it. and some of it, i like a lot.
  12. just stay away from the cream o'korn!
  13. and as of right now, i think they get the benefit of the doubt with that. they are trying to get the players that best fit into their team. can't wait to see what it looks like after the draft.
  14. i think i may have a man crush on mr. beane. he just seems to be doing and saying all the right things right now. if the draft unfolds in a way that we can get a qb to be excited about, and a couple talented players to go with him...it may become a full on bromance. i guess we have to see what the haul is and what the price was to get it. Billieving in the process!
  15. don't worry, there is still time for someone to call you an idiot. if only there were a guy who did this all the time...
  16. well, the boat load of second round picks, to go along with a couple firsts...that is altogether a pretty nice haul. they could finally surround andrew luck with some serious young talent.
  17. 6 seems like a great place to take a shot. it is a trade up that shows aggression to get "your guy", while restraining yourself from giving up too much. if only it could fall like this...
  18. not really. but i don't want to not try either.
  19. he was the qb, he gets the credit. it's as much as if he would have "led" them to a 1-15 record. the qb is that guy, the record of the team is on him more so than any other player on the field. like i said...i was just focusing on the positive points.
  20. i am with you on this. this kid's talent might be too much for him to drop all the way to 22. i think even the teams with established aging vet QBs might be interested in taking a stab at this kid. not to mention the teams that are clearly looking to upgrade.
  21. i think that tyrod can absolutely provide leadership. he is a veteran with a lot of experience. he has led a punchline team into the playoffs after the longest drought in north american sports. he has a tremendous work ethic. he is respected be players and coaches alike. and he has the ability to make positives out of negatives. (just focusing on the positive things he brings here)
  22. yes. all of this. and then you have to factor in all the premium picks the browns have...without having to trade any of them, let alone a good chunk of them, away for their qb of the future. they had cash and they have picks. they should be much, much improved. they could very well be a playoff contender this year. and for many going forward.
  23. i agree with this. i mean, if you are in a position where you can't trade up to get your guy, and there is nobody left at 12 you like, just take the guy at 22 and roll the dice. don't get cute. if you like him, take him. if he turns into something, great. if he sucks...you didn't trade 9 picks for him and you can try again very soon. and as far as the laulettulelei...now that's just plain fun!
  24. just from what i have gathered about the mcbeane collaborative...i think they have several plans. i think they have many combinations of possible player options with assigned values, weighted by position and impact. but i believe all of these moves will be predicated on how well they fit into "the process". they have to add more to the team than just talent. i believe this draft is integral to the core of the team moving forward. they are looking for the futere leaders of the buffalo bills. the heart and soul of the next generation of championship contenders.
  25. i disagree with this. in fact, i see it the other way around.
