This is spot on. Everyone is busy eviscerating McKelvin, but by far the worst guy in our secondary so far is George Wilson. McKelvin played that touchdown well. He didn't make the play despite being in a position to do so and deserves some blame, but not what he is receiving. Wilson looks soft on the run and nearly useless against the pass. They were isolating him with a fullback converted to wide receiver. Wilson needs to step up his game and earn his defensive captaincy with more reason than for being a great guy.
Nice "The Rock" reference, pop culture references may be missed by people that refuse to accept criticism and rush to judge. The problem is tooting your own horn when the team is 0-8. Sure Stevie has done well, but the Bills aren't winning so obviously things aren't clicking THAT well. I'm glad to see criticism and I'm glad to see that it has fired up players. However, as nice as heart is to see on the field I'd also like to see some talent and wins.
Before we anoint SJ an impact player to lock up forever, why don't we give him a season or two. Decisions based on performance during a few weeks or a season is exactly how we ended up with players like Maybin instead of long term proven talent.
Seriously, you read an article that quotes a fictional nazi sports betting shark and your problem with its credibility is the swearing? The article is meant to be read for entertainment.
Andy Reid is absolutely abysmal with clock management and using timeouts. His play calling is generally terrible and he stares blankly at the field in an unsettling way reminescient of Wade Phillips.
Always enjoyed rooting against the Fins a lot more than the Pats. Really had a nice rivalry with them for a long time. I have a lot of Pats fans as friends and they were just as miserable as Bills fans during most of the 80's and 90's when they were terrible. I always just hoped that the Bills can turn it around as well as they did.
Pro Bowl invites are usually based on rep, not play. While it is indisputable that our line is better with a player of his talents on it, I watched him get tooled over and over again by fellow Pro Bowler Demarcus Ware this week, while Peters got so jittery he committed two false starts and a frustration personal foul costing his team in several situations reminiscent of stupid mistakes our line committed all year. He also gave up I believe two sacks and almost another that McNabb threw without realizing how close Ware was to him. Ware is one of the best, but Peters should be too. I just don't think the man was worth the price he was asking for and the way he handled it was without class. While losing him cost us in the short term I hope in the long term it was the right move.
He had a bad game, no one is disagreeing with you. The disagreement is with moving him. He's still one of the best running backs, give the guy a offensive line not made of pure crap and he's been excellent. How many other players on this team have a Pro Bowl appearance? Way to go knee jerk decisions.
That leash is regarding behavior, not his on field play. I like that you added things that you think he did, not things that he did do as well. Stop letting your personal bias guide decisions or you're as bad at making them as our beloved franchise.
Very excellent post. Could not agree more. Jackson is a totally different runner than Lynch and having both is really key to a good offensive attack on the ground.
First picks used on QB's are not any more of a guarantee than 2nd or 3rd.
See Russel, JaMarcus
See Leinhart, Matt
See Young, Vince
See Cutler, Jake
See Smith, Alex
See Campbell, Jason
P.S. J.P. WAS a first rounder, not 2nd or 3rd.
