What happens in '16 if Sammy Watkins goes down
Calgary_JG replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Clay has 1700 yds receiving, Shady runs for 2000 yds and breaks the TD record with34 TDs. The Bills offence is heralded as one of the best of all time as Tyrod takes home the league and SB MVP. Maybe we should start a topic on what happens if this doesn't happen -
Sal Maiorana thinks some fans are insane
Calgary_JG replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can we please stop pretending that this defence won the SB last year? Have we forgotten about the egg that it laid in Oakland in a must win game? This defence has played well at times just like last years did but neither are dominant. This team needs consistency with competent leadership. If you don't think that's Rex then fine but please stop it with the "he's ruined this defence" argument, he hasn't. -
Nick O'Leary has tools to be a big factor in Bills offense

Rodak's a tool. Worst horesh*t excuse for a Bills reporter ever. -
Bills' gamble on Percy Harvin sends contradictory message
Calgary_JG replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. All I seem to want to do this week is read up on the Bills, it's a pretty exciting offseason, but hodak's blog is absolute horsesh*t. This article reads like a cheatriots fan whining that the Bills got Harvin. -
Updated: The AFC Playoff Picture
Calgary_JG replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a big week 16...we need PIT to take down KC, SF to take down SD and DEN to handle CIN. If that all happens then we're looking at a BUF win and CIN loss (to PIT) in week 17 for the playoffs. We may be #9 right now but the teams in front of us all have to play each other. -
Updated: The AFC Playoff Picture
Calgary_JG replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ran a few scenarios through the playoff machine on ESPN there are some reasonable situations that see us playing NE in a win and we're in scenario: Week 15 W (L) PIT (ATL) NE (MIA) KC (OAK) IND (HOU) BAL (JAX) BUF (GB) CIN (CLE) DEN (SD) Week 16 W (L) MIA (MIN) BAL (HOU) CLE (CAR) KC (PIT) NE (NYJ) BUF (OAK) DEN (CIN) IND (DAL) These outcomes would result in a scenario in week 17 where a KC loss against SD and a BUF win @ NE would get BUF into the playoffs. Let's get this one this weekend! -
Yep! We're right down front in the end zone - Row 2. Can't wait!

You sound like you're from Bawstan...go put a Patsies jersey on Go Bills!
-
Two things: 1. When you try a long FG like that it's always in the favor of the defending team because there are 5 lineman, a holder and a kicker on the field, that means 7 of the 11 players on the field can't cover. I was surprised they made that try. 2. Watching that live on TV I couldn't help but think how awesome it would be to be an Auburn fan in the stadium but couldn't be happier for Chris Davis. That play will live on forever and he's the guy that made it happen. It's good to be a college FB fan today! Go Bills!

The Offensive Line Is Still Terrible
Calgary_JG replied to KitchenerKaizer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1. Offensive line not terrible to begin with 2. I guess by your logic that Tennessee is SB favourite now? They're going to ride Levitre and Warmack all the way to the dance! Get your tickets folks! C'mon get real... -
Do you have to be from buffalo/ny to be a real fan?
Calgary_JG replied to tito1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm from PEI originally and I moved to Calgary about 10 years ago. Me and some buds drove from Calgary to PEI a couple of years ago and we decided to drive through the US. We stopped in Buffalo to get some wings at Anchor Bar and as we drove by the exits for the Ralph I couldn't contain myself! Dude Bills Nation isn't just about Buffalo, the Bills are a way of life for a lot of people wayyyy outside Buffalo. The people who get to go to games on the weekends are the lucky ones -
RD 2, Pick #41: OT Cordy Glenn - Georgia

Just a note that Jasper going to play G this year (assuming he can make the team) I like our OL! -
RD 2, Pick #41: OT Cordy Glenn - Georgia
Calgary_JG replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're damn right we did! Drafting Cordy Glenn is like drafting a G and T. Talk about depth of OL? I don't care if this guy ever plays LT in the NFL, he's value x100 in my books. Can you imagine if a MAssie or Adams fell to us in the third? -

Love it! done, NEXT! Although as I type this Hill just went to Jets....we'll see about that one -
Guys we've got something in the range of 19 D-Lineman, not to mention the investment we've made in the DL (M Williams $100 mil, Dareus $40 mil, K Williams $36 mil) so I doubt we'll see a DL picked in this draft. We've also got 9 WR so unless all of those 4 OLs go in the first 8 picks tomorrow, I wouldn't bet on a WR either. I doubt Cordy Glenn makes it but I'd be super happy if that's the pick. I'm putting my money on OL tomorrow at 41, Stephen Hill if those 4 guys are gone. Go Bills!

RD 1, Pick #10: DB Stephon Gilmore - South Carolina
Calgary_JG replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Florence, McGee and McLovin won't be Bills after this year and if they are they'll be coming off the bench. Getting a starting CB this year to team up with Williams means we'll only have to find nickel and dime backs next offseason to fill in the sub packages. I like it -

Are The Bills Trying To Move Up?
Calgary_JG replied to yungmack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's a reason that mock draft "experts" aren't NFL GMs. In all likelihood Kalil goes at 3 but I'm basing that on other people's opinions. If I was paid to make that determination I'd like to check him out for myself -
Why is Trent Richardson in Buffalo?
Calgary_JG replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's been widely stated by NFL FO's that there is a lot of misdirection in the days leading up to the draft. No team wants to show their cards. You get 30 visits and 7 draft picks, you can afford to "waste" 5 or 6 of those visits -
I was a HUGE supporter of the Bills trading for McNabb back 2 years ago (keep in mind we were stuck with Captain Checkdown) when Chix first came on board. My thought was if we got McNabb and Joey Porter came on board then two of our biggest needs would have been filled and a 7-9 team could make the leap to get those extra few wins to be a playoff team. Looking back, I'm happy to say how wrong I was. McNabb himself would have set back the Bills by another 10 years. He was clearly on the decline of his career looking back, and now with the comments he's made about WASH it makes me think that he would have come in and been unsuccessful and then he would have blamed it on the system or the coaches or the organization and NO fa's would have wanted to come here forever. We'd be sitting here today debating whether Ryan Tanehill is the best option. So a big thank you to Donovan McNabb for saying no to Buffalo, he delivered us Super Mario.
