  1. A very good question. I really want to see this team be successful and win. Every year is a let down and I question why I buy Sunday Ticket and spend $225+ yearly to yell and scream at my TV, or turn off after half time knowing what the outcome will be. Most of all I miss family time as my kids and wife are not interested. As an earlier poster said ... it may be a sickness
  2. Good post! I would add that it appeared to me that Spiller was running east/west a lot yesterday. Is that Spiller or an OLine that wasn't opening any holes or creating lanes? Also, small and fast receivers don't appear to be working for this team. I agree with Rich Gannon's analysis at the beginning of the game --- he mentioned that statistically, analysis shows that tall, physical receivers score touchdowns. Receivers that can go up and make a play for the ball ... players who can catch (a well thrown) fade or a pass thrown high and away from defender. Buffalo seems consumed with small and fast (Marrone/Gailey). Although I must admit that Chandler and red beard are tall and are good targets. Of course, an accurate and capable QB will make any offense work well (ala Brady, Brees).
  3. Still have a sinking feeling the Bills will lose. Until they win convincingly ....
  4. A top notch QB makes the O-Line look good. The jury is still out on EJ ... but I say keep drafting a QB every year until we get it right. We need a QB to compete with the big boys, its that simple.
  5. Those bubble screen passes killed us all day. Our D gave up multiple big plays.
  6. 147.7 QB rating last night doesn't lie. The kid has potential. Also, really liked the play calling by Morningwig. Creative! Give credit where credit is due ... Jets did a good job last night. Ryan is a defensive genius ... we are lucky to have Pettine.
  7. Fantastic! Were you on the field when you took those? I have to read previous posts ... did you mention what equipment you use? Lens?
  8. I think EJ will be fineI think EJ will be a fine QB. Glad to have him. As far as yesterday's game, 3rd down efficiency was 5 out of 18. Not good. Those 3 and outs or short lived drives kill me. Gosh, I'll take a frickin field goal or something. Lots of punts.
  9. DITTO. Gannon is cool ... not sure about Marv.
  10. Just heard that Browns will have double picks in rounds 1, 3 and 5 of 2014 draft. Total rebuild ... franchise QB, etc...
  11. In the long run, EJ will prevail.
  12. That is a great question ... I thought the same thing. I guess it was a lower risk to allow defenders to get to return guy versus having get a head of steam. But those hail mary's are nail biters. We would be cursing special teams and lighting up this board if Panthers caught the pass in the end zone.
  13. AMEN brother ... my feeling exactly. That was a nice drive, then on 3rd and goal we throw a fade? Out of bounds? Run Fred!!! 8) Hey, I never complain about announcers, nor much else about telecasts. But today, I think that the camera man was on drugs. He was missing key shots. Am I the only one who noticed this?AGREED, I have nocticed that across many games the production (camera Shots) is not good. Is CBS hiring newbies to produce these games? Camera shot often late coming into the play. It's like they are not aware there is a hurry up offense on the field.
  14. Watching the Jets-Pats game made me appreciate the Jets Defense. They were GOOD. Fortunately their Offense is struggling (Geno threw 3 INT's). Still I think Bills have their work cut out for them when they play Jets.
  15. Also, 3 and Outs, too many of them (which I guess is third down conversions)
  16. Is it fair to ask if Buffalo got the short end of the stick in terms of offensive scheme when compared to Chip Kelly's? Chip Kelly (sounds like they're saying Jim Kelly) has a lot more talent and experience on his team (Michael Vick, Desean Foster) than Buffalo, but their offense was faster and seemed to catch Washington off guard more than Bills caught NE off guard. Philly executed much more effectively and clearly did not have the penalties the Bills did. In short, perhaps in theory, Marrone's offense is supposed to look like what we saw ion Philly last night. Buffalo just needs more time and talent to execute better. Last night's game was fun to watch.
  17. I know ... My point was he is not the read option "mobile" QB is was made out to be by media. He's a pocket passer and that if GOOD.
  18. I saw that too ... probably was not called for payback on some other plays that we got away with.
  19. Seems like Freddy should run up middle and Spiller to outside. Manuel seemed more like a pocket passer than a scrambler. He scrambled a handful of times at best but he mostly threw the ball.
  20. Announcers were correct to point out one of the negatives of hurry up ... failed drives/3 and outs. There three in a row in the 4rth quarter. Sure fire way to lose a football game against Tom Brady and Gastkowski. I question play calling as well .. the pass (dropped by Stevie) at third and short? Why were all the run plays right up the middle? Where were the screens? You can't allow three 3 and outs when your ahead by a small amount against the Pats in the 4rth quarter. Not to mention penalties. This was a win-able game with better play calling, coaching, and clock management.
  21. Huh, really? Luck had a pretty good year ... as good a season a rookie QB could have. RG3 played well
  22. What he said ....
  23. Chan seemed to use Chandler quite a bit, especially in that first game last year (or was it the year before?). It seemed the TE was high on HIS list. Chandler was a stud there for a while. Is he injured? Dude is tall and good at catching ball.
