I like and support the Vegas idea. They would still draw fans from California (less than a 1 hour flight from LA or San Fran) plus the local population plus all the visitors that flock to Vegas. In fact, Vegas is perfect for the NFL.
I think that Southern California will be a disaster within a span of 5 years for the Rams and/or Chargers, the fans, and their respective owners. There will be low attendance (ala Jacksonville) due to abhorrent traffic (LA has 24/7 traffic ... really really bad traffic all the time, I used to live there), stifling cost to the fan (tix and parking), cost of living for players will increase 3-4x what they were paying ..... and low revenues for owners. Building a new stadium in SOCAL will cost well over 2 bil due to the cost of building in that state plus requirements to use union workers.
