After a game I look forward to reading this more than any article or thread on the whole internet and/or print out there. I feel that this is the most accurate piece of reporting of a Bills game. Keep up the good work.

Got a question here. If Miami decides they want to match the offer are they able to trade Clay to another team? I could possibly see this happening just so they can try to keep Clay out of the division. Are they able to sign him to the contract the Bills offered and then trade him to another team for a 7th rounder just so they don't have to play him? This is a hypothetical question. Just wondering if there is a rule that states he needs to play for the team that signs him?

I read somewhere (no link sorry) that he would not of signed the contract unless he had the opt out clause due to new ownership. It was the only way the deal was going to be done.

The thread after every game "A few thoughts about the game in no particular order"? That was my favorite thread on this wall. It was the most accurate summary of the game. If I missed the game I knew I could count on that thread to tell me what was good and what was bad about the game. Just wondering what happened. I haven't seen that thread for a few weeks now.

We have been a bottom feeder for 15 years. Until w prove ourselves then it is a big blow to lose to us. We look at crappy teams and think we should beat them. Crappy teams think the same way. Nothing is going to change until we show it on the field.

I would give myself a 5 year contract extension. There is no way you trade Stevie. He has a contract that is cap friendly. Also there is no way we get more than a 3rd for him.

Good call by management/coaches. If he isn't going to be the starter then it is best for both parties to end the relationship. Our rookies need more reps and TJ needs a chance of making another team. Good luck TJ. You didn't do anything good here, but you didn't do anything bad either.

Another thing is that it takes unrestricted free agency away from him. It takes the players right of playing in any other city away. It also takes away the opportunity to get a stupid contract that pays him over what he is worth (see Levitre, Mario Williams).

Jim Kelly wasn't happy to be in Buffalo when he was drafted. How did that turn out?

We are relying too much on rookies. Unless Manuel comes out on fire I see this as a painful year. Our receivers look to be better on paper, but realistically they haven't played one down of NFL football so who knows how they are going to pan out. The best part of the season is that we are playing the Pats first. They really won't know what we will be doing on offense if we have a vanilla preseason. They will have to rely on college tape so that will be an advantage for us. I want and am hoping for this to be a good year but I have been burned before. At the end of every season I say I am going to be realistic and wait till they prove it on the field. Then they sign some people during free agency so I get my hopes up. Then the draft comes along and I get real excited. Then the season comes and I am heartbroken. I am not going to do this again. They have to prove it to me before I get excited. I tell you it is hard trying to control myself. I think they have done some good things, but I just don't want to be disappointed again.

It doesn't matter what position you pick. The only thing that matters is if that player turns into a Pro Bowler.

This reminds me of the year we drafted Hardy. None of the WR's had first round grades and they all went in a hurry in the 2nd. IIRC, only 2 of them panned out (Jackson, Nelson). So I guess this means that if you have a common last name that you are going to succeed. Joke (bad one too). I think there will be a couple good ones in the draft. Remember, Wilson and Kaepernik weren't blue chip prospects either. I just hope Nix picks the right one.
