  1. I wonder if this kind soul realized that he was watching a football game.
  2. That would be my preference, too.
  3. Yeah, the AFC East now has two coaches who've proven that winning is more important than their QBs' well-being.
  4. For decades, I haven't even bothered to tune into whatever channel the Pro Bowl is on. If the Manning Bros., are involved, my interest level has been upgraded to - "If I have nothing else to do, and nothing better is on TV, I might put it on as background noise and occasionally watch."
  5. Dude's got guts. He was not about to lose his job to injury as long as he could help it. I'm glad the doctors stepped in and saved him from himself.
  6. Danny Alamonte 2.0 That kid's 12 like I'm a body double for Brad Pitt.
  7. Damn, that's a hell of a deal if he can duplicate what he's done over the past couple years. deGrom got $182 million for 5 years and he's prone to injury and four years older than Rodon.
  8. Yep. My guess is that McCann will be traded and Alvarez will start the season in AAA while Nido and Narvarez (lefty batter) platoon.
  9. If it was just going to be cold, I'd agree. But playing in a snowstorm with heavy accumulation isn't going to be good for either team.
  10. I really don't see how the Bills have any advantage at all.
  11. The DSC razors do well for me. I get the middle of the line ones and haven't had any issues. And I'm not good about changing them, either. I just shaved yesterday after a couple weeks of growth. Normally, I'd use the electric trimmer to get the stubble length down prior to using the razor. I was in a hurry, so I didn't. Handled it with no problems and no pulling.
  12. It's also a pipe dream!
  13. I think if he was the coach of the Bills, I might take a hiatus from football until he was gone.
  14. It absolutely has an effect on the game. And playing in Buffalo (or any other cold weather city) isn't comparable, because both teams have the same conditions to deal with. I really do think it should be addressed by the NFL. More out of player safety (we all know that a player will need to at least come close to dying before the NFL or NFLPA will do anything) than fairness. It's a total shitshow, but I guess my original point is that I find it a little funny that so many Bills fans want "revenge" by having them come here in crappy weather. Yeah ... the Bills get to prepare for it a little more by practicing in the cold, but in the end, both teams are playing in identical conditions.
  15. It's really hard to win a game in this league.
  16. Vikings played there last year and there was a 30 degree difference; Vikings' sideline was 120 degrees. Vikings won.
  17. I'm not saying that it wasn't an unfair advantage. I think it was ... and it was very dangerous. I'm just pointing out that it was the 35th regular season game there between these two teams and this last game was an outlier. Furthermore, the stadium was designed an built before any of the current Dolphins players were even born. I'm not sure what the Dolphins were supposed to do in that situation. If anything, Bills fans should be upset with the NFL for not stepping in somehow. I just don't get the anger directed toward the Dolphins for that game.
  18. The Dolphins have been playing in that stadium for 35 years and we lose one game due to extreme heat and people go bananas.
  19. I'm a Mets fan and even I find this ridiculous. Errors can absolutely be charged to a fielder if the ball doesn't touch his glove. And the notion of Derek Jeter padding any stats is nothing short of silly.
  20. I use Barbasol and Dollar Shave Club razors.

    2023 Concerts

Years ago, I ponied up to buy Justin Timberlake tickets. Like you, I wasn't really stoked about the music, but I'd always respected him as an entertainer/performer. It turned out to be fantastic. Taylor Swift is very, very talented and I bet she puts on a hell of a show. Seeing the Chilis with Frusciante is a no-brainer. That is going to be awesome. Thank God I was lucky enough to see this iteration of the band back when tickets were reasonable (2006 at Pepsi (Now MVP) Arena in Albany - same size as MSG. $41 for decent/close seats. I just looked on ticketmaster for the Syracuse show and similar seats would cost $231 now. Crazy.
  22. Syndergaard to the Dodgers. One year, $13 million. Angels gave him $21 million for one year last season.
  23. I think this is fear mongering at its finest (by the media; not the OP). He's not 100%, but who is at week 15? It's colder than a witch's tit out there and I'm sure that makes him require more stretching/work to be done on his throwing arm. If his receivers didn't drop a billion passes last week, he'd have had a great game an no one would be batting an eye at this. The vast majority of his passes were accurate. He's fine.
