  1. It's happening across the NFL. 2022 has already seen more close games than any previous year. https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/nfl-games-have-never-been-closer-heres-why/ When it comes to close contests, 2022 is shaping up to be an all-timer. So far this season, 92 games (90 decisions and two ties) have been decided by 6 points or fewer, the most through Week 14 in NFL history. To put that in perspective, at least half of all games played in nine out of 14 weeks were decided by 6 points or fewer. All these close games have led to some incredibly exciting finishes. The most recent example is Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott’s last-minute drive Sunday against the Houston Texans, a win that saved the Cowboys from the embarrassment of losing to a 17-point underdog. On Thursday in L.A., we were also treated to an improbable Baker Mayfield-led comeback against the Las Vegas Raiders — a win that came just two days after he joined the Rams. And there have been 75 more game-winning drives where those came from since the season started. In fact, teams are on pace to record 101 game-winning drives in 2022, 12 more than in any other season since the merger. And even after adjusting for the added games from a 17-week season, the pace is historic: The NFL is averaging 5.5 game winning drives per week. Mercy.
  2. Like we've seen all too often, I fear this will eventually lead to something horrible happening and people saying that, "signs were missed." How this man can legally own firearms is beyond me.
  3. His explosive diarrhea game is legit.
  4. So Josh Allen has to move in with Lionel Messi after the Bills win the Super Bowl? Weird!
  5. Did anyone ever expect a man named Dakota to be an elite football player?
  6. The one area where I feel like I might take too much time is the spices. They're never in any logical order and sometimes I get stumped. But I do try to make sure I'm not in anyone's way. Many times, there will be someone else having trouble finding a spice, so I'll tell them what I'm looking for/ask them what they're looking for so we can help each other out and speed up the process!
  7. I'm pretty sure this is a SeaBiscuit quote.
  8. I've gotten into the habit of quickly checking that the cart's wheels all work. If I have room, I'll check the alignment, too. I hate a cart that pulls to the left or right.
  9. Ask, and you shall receive ...
  10. I think he's earned two!
  11. I know I am an outlier, but I have always loved Belichick's interactions with the press.
  12. I don't blame him for most of this year's fumbles. To your last question ... no - I don't think we've lost a game due to an Allen fumble. But to my earlier point, that's why I'm saying it's not necessarily a concern right now ... but giving playoff offenses extra chances isn't something anyone wants.
  13. Yeah, this is my strategy when an aisle is overly-congested. Put my cart somewhere out of the way, then go get what I need without having to try to get a cart through a sea of a-holes.
  14. Yeah, that's the hope ... George Steinbrenner 2.0. I've been wanting that for a long, long time. After the Wilpon-era, Mets fans deserve this.
  15. I live an hour north of Albany. This area is loaded with Yankees, Cowboys and Celtics fans. Almost all bandwagon jumpers from the 70s-90s. But I will give it to them ... they seem to have stuck with their teams. And yes ... during the Pats dynasty, I did see a ton of NE gear around here .... now? Nothing. Hilarious.
  16. Yeah, I feel like we're all anti-mega deals, but it's just a sign of the times. With no salary cap, this is simply what the teams who want the best chance win it all do. I guess my only concern is that if the Mets DO win it all, then we'd be looking at a major salary dump and go back to a middle of the road team. My initial reaction to that thought? I don't give a f*ck. I want a World Series win.
  17. Yeah, there were some Raiders fans, too. I'm going back to when I was 8 or 9 years old, so I wasn't overly-attentive at the time. I do vividly remember a lot of Cowboys, Steelers and Yankees fans, generally speaking.
  18. HOLY CRAP! Well, I guess we don't need to hope Baty is the real deal anymore. Not sure how I missed this, but I'm seeing it now. GREAT NEWS!!
  19. When I was a kid in the late 70s, it seemed like everyone my age was either a Steelers fan or a Cowboys fan. I gravitated toward the Steelers and it was primarily because I loved Franco Harris, Mean Joe Greene and Lynn Swann. RIP, Franco.
  20. It is the night My body's weak I'm on the run No time to sleep I've got to ride Ride like the wind To be free again
  21. It's just so smart. If there's one page to take from the book of Belichick, it's to use a lot of words whilst telling the media nothing.
