When are week 18 game times going to be set?
Gugny replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
I found the nfl.com release announcing the schedule from last year and it was published Sunday night just before midnight. So I'm guessing after tonight's game is over. -
Would you consider the Boogie Basham pick to be a disappointment?

John Lennon and George Harrison could be resurrected for a Beatles reunion tour with Pink Floyd (with Waters and Gilmour) as the opening act and even if I was guaranteed to have front row seats with Kate Upton giving me lapdances and BJs all night .... I still wouldn't spend that kind of money for a ticket.

Russell Wilson and Deshaun Watson failing good for QB market.
Gugny replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, since you asked, Christopher ... I think he should have taken the offer originally given to him before he proved to be an underperforming, injury prone running back ... quarterback. And if there is a GM/owner out there who gives him a huge fully guaranteed contract, then they can enjoy 3/4 of a season of success and falling flat on their face in the playoffs for years to come. -

Joe Buck on calling Bills-Bengals, the biggest ‘Monday Night Football’ game in decades Joe Buck jogs his memory and the answer is clear: He has never called an AFC regular-season game with this much on the line. With he* and Troy Aikman’s first year in the “Monday Night Football” booth concluding in a couple of weeks, the duo gets a massive New Years gift: The Bills (12-3) traveling to Cincinnati to play the Bengals (11-4) on Monday night, with a later-than-normal 8:30 p.m. ET kickoff. The teams’ combined 23 wins is tied with Denver and San Francisco in 1997 for the most ever wins entering a “Monday Night Football” broadcast. The game has massive implications for both teams given the No. 1 seed in the AFC is still undecided. It’s also a showcase between two of the game’s best quarterbacks — Josh Allen and Joe Burrow. “We’ve (he and Aikman) never called a game in the AFC with this much on the line in our 21 years,” Buck said this week. “You hoped when the schedule came out that it would come down to something like this, but there’s so many different factors involved that rarely does it get there, whether it’s an injury or one team doesn’t play as well as you think it will. But this feels like an AFC Championship Game to me. I was just thinking about the game, and I got that rush of nerves and excitement that I would typically get the week of the Super Bowl. It was a great feeling to have.” https://theathletic.com/4035653/2022/12/29/joe-buck-bills-bengals/?source=dailyemail&campaign=601983 * - Pointing this out because it never ceases to amaze me how people who are paid to write and/or speak in the media cannot grasp when to use he vs. his. We've been watching this over the past couple weeks and are up to Episode 6. I love me a good whodunit and this is a great one! Great acting, too. I'll come back and chime in when we finish it up, which should be by the end of the weekend. -

If there is one player who should not be representing himself, it's Lamar Jackson. What a dolt. -
I have always been a Carr fan. Raiders have never done him many favors, between coaches, defense and offensive weapons/line. It's a shame that he's spent his entire career with an organization who talks a good game, but doesn't back it up.

The injury clause in his contract. Seems they've already made their minds up that this is his last season in Vegas. If he's to play the final two games and gets injured, Vegas would owe him $40 million. Benching him is the only way to prevent that from happening. They're not even making him active.

Continuing yards after catch (YAC) mystery
Gugny replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. The Bills are scoring 28 points/game, which is 2nd in the AFC (KC - 29.2). Bills are also averaging 260 passing yards/game. KC (#1) averages 304 passing yards/game. Chiefs average just 19 more total offense yards/game than the Bills (#1 and #2 in the NFL, respectively). Who cares how the yards come? They're scoring a lot of points and that's what wins games. -

I think they only feed WRs who get more than 20 yards receiving in the most recent game.

I'm sorry to hear of your and your friends' loss. Always terribly sad to learn of any child's death.

The roids make them as big as they are. Just look at how much these guys shrink after they stop playing. Jeff Saturday is barely recognizable. Eric Wood looks like Thurman Merman in Bad Santa 2. It's the roids.

Few people like attention as much as JJ Watt.

Thank GOD! So tired of hearing this guy’s knob get slobbered every time he’s televised. I’m always interested in seeing what these roid boys look like a few months to a year after retiring.

I became friends with my best childhood friend at the age of 10. We'd actually gone to Kindergarten together, but it wasn't until we were in 4th grade that we became close friends. We remained best of friends into our 30s. He was best man at my wedding. Among the first to hold my newborn son. We simply drifted apart after that. He'd dealt with some substance abuse and mental health issues, through the onset of which I was there for him. Then something really changed in him and he'd just become weird ... almost creepy. Said inappropriate things to married female friends of mine ... said inappropriate things about underage (teen) girls. That's when I decided to distance myself from him and told him as much. We keep in touch, but other than in passing at the grocery store or at a pizza joint getting takeout, we've not seen each other and we only talk once in awhile via social media. He seems to have calmed down, from what I can see, but is still troubled. He reached out just before Christmas and we agreed that we should find some time to hang out after the holidays wind down. I always wish the best for him, but we're just two different people now in different places in our lives. If he ever needed me, I'd be there for him and I'm sure he'd be there for me if I ever needed him. That's what friendship is really all about, to me.
