  1. This is exactly where I stood and where I stand. I've lost faith in him.
  2. Yes. Just like you sit around and wait to "correct" people at every chance you get .. You're the COVID expert. You're the football expert. You're the (now, thank GOD) shadow mod, who knows who should say what, where, when and how. Keep sitting in your chair and looking for opportunities to prove to everyone how much smarter you are than them. It's a great look. Really. And everyone loves it. Really.
  3. Miami doesn't even need a Safety. This makes next to no sense at all.
  4. I looked at what I wanted to look at. I don’t give a crap about how long their coaches had coached. I also don’t give a crap that they lost Super Bowls. If you want to put your own spin on it, then dig up your own story and tell it how you want to. Im perfectly content with what I offered.
  5. I hope you're right.
  6. Nope. I was thinking of the wrong one. I thought you were talking about the 98-yard bomb.
  7. The defender fell down before the pass got there because Davis had him beat by two steps.
  8. More importantly, and sadly, I think the Pegulas are fine with it as long as the season ticket demand remains high.
  9. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/35510142/mlb-baseball-hall-fame-day-2023-explained https://www.mlb.com/news/2023-hall-of-fame-ballot-released https://baseballhall.org/discover/2023-hall-of-fame-ballot#welcome-to-the-party WELCOME TO THE PARTY Debuting on the BBWAA ballot in 2023 are Bronson Arroyo, Carlos Beltrán, Matt Cain, R.A. Dickey, Jacoby Ellsbury, Andre Ethier, J.J. Hardy, John Lackey, Mike Napoli, Jhonny Peralta, Francisco Rodríguez, Huston Street, Jered Weaver and Jayson Werth. Candidates remain on the BBWAA ballot for 10 years provided they are not elected and they are named on at least five percent of all ballots cast each year. RETURNING TO THE BALLOT Among the players returning to the BBWAA ballot, Scott Rolen received votes on 63.2 percent of all ballots cast in 2022 — the most of any returnee. Rolen is on the ballot for the sixth time in 2023. Todd Helton (52 percent) and Billy Wagner (51 percent) are the only other candidates who received at least 50 percent of the BBWAA vote in 2022. Any candidate who receives votes on 75 percent of all ballots cast will earn election to the Hall of Fame. Fourteen former players are returning to the 2023 BBWAA ballot after receiving at least five percent of the overall vote in 2022: Scott Rolen 63.2% 6th year Todd Helton 52.0% 5th year Billy Wagner 51.0% 8th year Andruw Jones 41.4% 6th year Gary Sheffield 40.6% 9th year Álex Rodríguez 34.3% 2nd year Jeff Kent 32.7% 10th year Manny Ramírez 28.9% 6th year Omar Vizquel 23.9% 6th year Andy Pettitte 10.7% 5th year Jimmy Rollins 9.4% 2nd year Bobby Abreu 8.6% 4th year Mark Buehrle 5.8% 3rd year Torii Hunter 5.3% 3rd year I think we could very possibly see none of these guys join the Crime Dog. Rolen, Helton and/or Wagner might have a shot, but I can't see any other returning players making the cut and I also don't see any first ballot HOFers on the list of newbies.
  10. I don't understand why Miami would want to rent Brady for a year. They went 8-5 in games that Tua started this season.
  11. I'm not cherry picking. I specifically looked for quarterbacks who recently made it to the Super Bowl within their first five years in the league.
  12. I don't think it's harsh at all. 2013 - Russ Wilson's 2nd season - Super Bowl 2016 - Cam Newton's 5th season - Super Bowl 2019 - Goff's 2nd season - Super Bowl 2020 - Mahomes' 4th season (3rd as a starter) - Super Bowl 2021 - Mahomes, again. 2022 - Burrow's 2nd season - Super Bowl Good teams with good coaches make it happen.
  13. If nothing else, getting Michael Thomas would probably mean the end of Keyshawn Johnson's anti-Josh nonsense.
  14. HFBD, Jauronimo!
  15. Patience? We're six years into "The Process" and five years into Josh Allen's career ... the last three of which, he's been a top 3 QB in the league. I think McDermott deserves one more season to get to the Super Bowl. Not get to the playoffs. Not get to the AFCCG. Get to the Super Bowl. Otherwise, his tenure will be no better than the 2000-2016 drought. "Getting to the playoffs," doesn't make it move for me anymore. Sh!t or get off the pot.
  16. My deep fryer has a little tap. I just save the container that the oil (I use peanut oil) comes in, let the oil cool overnight, then empty the oil from the fryer directly into the container. And that goes right into my recycle bin.
  17. He had 1130 receiving yards in his final season with the Vikings. That's quitting?
  18. I've got no problem with him leaving early. He knows that McDermott was just gonna come out and blah, blah, blah them to death. He also knows that piss poor coaching is the primary reason that his and Josh Allen's prime years are being wasted before their eyes.
  19. What a bunch of horseshit. (not directed to you, Einstein)
  20. Collinsworth: “MY WORD! WHO ELSE HAVE YOU EVER SEEN IN THE NFL TAKE A SNAP AND HAND IT TO THE RUNNING BACK LIKE THAT!?!? I MEAN … WHAT CAN’T THIS GUY DO?”
  21. I also had to turn the volume down. He was unbearable yesterday. I would rather have Yoko Ono sing “Black Dog,” directly into my good ear for 4 hours straight than listen to Collinsworth call a KC game.
  22. I'm on record for stating that Mixon should never have been allowed to play in the NFL. My comment was specifically about the tearing up the ticket incident.
  23. I think now might be the right time to discuss Zay Jones' spiritual awakening ... Mark 14:51-52 “And a young man followed him, with nothing but a linen cloth about his body. And they seized him, but he left the linen cloth and ran away naked.”
  24. Great memory!!!! I, like most, was never a Marrone fan. But the passion with which he discussed bologna in this interview is one of the greatest things I've ever read. https://www.espn.com/blog/jacksonville-jaguars/post/_/id/23749/doug-marrones-last-meal-bologna-and-cheese “And I always like bologna because bologna, you never have to throw it out. In other words, if it’s in the refrigerator and you get a little film on it, then you just fry it and it tastes just as good.” What a quote!!
