I’m reading about this in the paper right now.
At the post-game presser, JB said, “It’s up to the university. They have to make their decision and it’s up to them.”
That was before his departure was announced.
That sounds like he was fired, to me.
Either way, this unceremonious ending to a career that spanned more than half of this man’s life seems like a real kick in the nuts.
He deserved to leave on his terms and to control how it was communicated.
