With regard to the pill popping, that is something I admired him for. The over-prescription of opioids is obviously one of the biggest problems plaguing our country. He had the balls to tell the world that it was becoming a personal problem and he was taking time to address it. That said, the guy is still a complete douche. But not for that.

I participated in the Inferno Wing eating contest a couple weeks ago outside Davidson’s. I’m pretty sure they made the wings and they were good. I stopped patronizing Davidson’s a few years ago when they rolled out their “no tipping” policy. Best wings in the area, to me, are at the Bullpen. Their food, overall, is much better than Davidson’s and they always have Common Roots Good Fortune on tap - which is better than any Davidson’s beer.

Yup. Knox had a similar first couple years, re: dropping easy ones and catching difficult ones - and he was able to improve. Hopefully Gabe can, too.

I love Gabe and I agree with you! But I think the ankle excuse is weak. He misses some catchable passes, but he’s also had a lot of inaccurate passes thrown his way. In short, I’m glad we have him and I think he’s a solid #2 (absolutely NO pun intended)!

I’m still struggling to understand how one’s bad ankle prevents his hands from catching perfectly thrown passes.
