Brought my son to see them in Montreal during the R:40 tour (their last). My son is a guitarist and bassist; I told him I wanted him to see two of the best while it was still possible. So glad we did. It was a great show.

I have a close friend who, years ago, realized that he had a bad habit of inserting, "you know," into his everyday interactions. He asked me (and others) to interrupt him and say, "Yeah .. I know," every time he said it. He wanted to be made aware so he could correct it. It worked.

If I recall correctly, Miami was last to hire last year after taking their time.

Packers request volunteers to help shovel Lambeau

Bills pay $11/hour and a ticket to the game. Packers fans are cheap. -
You bastard.

They didn't coach well enough to win. They coached as if they were trying to lose. Clearly, there is a lack of talent on offense. More clearly, Devin Singletary is NOT one of those lacking talent … specifically in this game. He was averaging 5 YPC, which is about what he averaged for the season. Coaching well enough to win would have been NOT relying on less-talented players and giving the ball to the most consistent person on the field. Calling nonsensical plays, then blaming JV players for not executing said plays is nothing but deflection. They were set up to fail and they executed that failure perfectly.

This is something that very few want to acknowledge for some reason. I think it is THE reason we lost the game. The most common comeback I get is, "Josh had to be better," which tells me that they don't understand that if Devin Singletary is getting the ball, all Josh has to do is ***** hand it to him. 26 passes/5 rushes after the Bills went up 16-0. Dumb.

Bingo. I don't recall too many black interviewees going last before being declined.

Is "me," an adjective, Crippy?

There's far more to it than picking out a few black coaches who've had long tenures and a few white coaches who've been fired after 1-2 seasons. Look at some accomplishments of some of those who've been canned after short tenures. Look at the percentages. And Perry Fewell, unfortunately, probably leads the league in going on interviews for jobs he had no chance for just to satisfy the Rooney Rule. That's why I don't think this rule - or any rule - will ever be effective.

Did you know that he had, what was supposed to be, SEASON ENDING SURGERY … but was able to come back for the post season??

I agree with this. A bunch of old, white, rich men running the show. Completely out of touch with the players. (We see this somewhere else) Players may be rich now, but the vast majority of them were not prior to going pro. It's going to take longer than people want it to, but progress will continue to be made. In the first 88 years of the NFL's existence, there were seven black head coaches. From 2003-present, there have been 14 black head coaches (I did not count interim hirings or Ron Rivera, as he's not black). What I think needs some attention is the quick hook many black head coaches have gotten. As I looked into this, I noticed that many have had 1-2 years before getting fired.
