I'm disagreeing that he was productive, nor that he was more productive than his predecessors. And that's not what I questioned. Did the Tyrod Taylor-led productive and exciting offense score points when the Bills needed them most? That was my question. His two 1,000+ yard seasons to start his career in Buffalo told me he wanted to play. He didn't stop producing until they stopped giving him the ball. He only played in 4 games in his last Buffalo season and he averaged 4.4 yards/carry in those games before he was traded. I love me some Beast Mode!! The homework my son had in 2nd and 3rd grade was ridiculous. Literally 2-3 hours/day. I spoke to multiple parents whose children would cry every night. Once I saw my son "hit the wall," I told him to stop and wrote a note on the homework for his teachers to read. His 4th grade teacher made it clear that it was important to her for "kids to be kids," (and she wasn't even a parent) and gave minimal homework. Her mantra was, "work hard in school, play hard at home." Grades 5-8, he had a couple teachers who still gave quite a bit, but most did not. Once he got to high school, the only homework he's had has been to study.

I love Knox. I hate that he drops too many passes, but I haven't given up on him. I just don't see the need to bring in a veteran - especially one who is in the last year or two of his career - to mentor him. That clearly didn't work last year. I also like Sweeney. He should have been getting the playing time that the worthless piece of ***** Kroft got. If McD and Beane still believe in Knox, then just keep him and Sweeney. And don't forget about Jason Pegula. He'll be back.

I'm not saying that I know where TO get that kind of talent. I'm just saying that signing a player who has one foot and four toes on the sandy beaches of his retirement home is NOT that place to get it.
