  1. You asked for it ……………... @ExiledInIllinois
  2. Off the top of my head, I'll go with Pepsi. They did a great job, for years, hiring music stars to represent them in commercials (Michael Jackson and Ray Charles come to mind).
  3. Born in 71. My bro is 6 years older. We shared a room. He was a casual Beatles fan. Had the blue and red albums and that's it. I always listened to the blue album. When I was about 10, I bought Wings Greatest Hits. Remember it like it was yesterday. Was out with my mom. Bought the album on vinyl. Then we went to visit my grandmother, where I played the album on her console stereo. That's when I got hooked on Paul. Similar story ... out with Mom .. bought Billy Joel's Songs in the Attic on vinyl and brought that to my grandmothers to play. Totally off topic, but that album is phenomenal. Back on topic ... I didn't start diving deep into the Beatles until I was well into my 20s .. maybe even early 30s. Prior to that, I was a very casual fan who loved what I'd heard, but was never inclined to buy albums and really listen. Better late than never, I suppose!
  4. 5 bucks/month is a song. No pun intended. Jump on that.
  5. I'm not that young!! Grew up in the vinyl era. Just didn't really get heavily into the Beatles until later.
  6. Okay ... I think it's thread worthy. Keep a lookout!
  7. I had no idea that side one ended with Heavy and side two began with Sun. Talk about a buzzkill.
  8. Blue/yellow pike are in the walleye family. Northern pike are not. Northern pike and pickerel are bony. Blue/yellow pike and walleye have more meat.
  9. Walleye is in the perch family. Best tasting freshwater fish, hands down. Panfish (crappies) next best. Then catfish and bullhead. Pike shares a family with Muskie and pickerel. That family is primarily catch and release (or mount, if you're a trophy guy), but very few people eat them. Same with bass. They're edible, but I don't think anyone says, "man, I can't wait to get home and eat this pike."
  10. Nice! I can only think of six Ringo-sung songs.
  11. Northern pike?? You sure about that? Yuck. I had walleye when I was in Wisconsin. I've never heard of anyone eating pike.
  12. Who are you? Sandra Bernhard?
  13. Somebody will pay him. Then what's Dallas gonna do? Who they gonna replace him with? He's got "hand."
  14. Found some! https://www.nystyledeli.com/cgi-bin/deli/hor_mill.html
  15. I just buy decent Kaiser rolls, brush them with butter then dip them in salt and caraway seeds, then throw them in the oven for a few minutes. I'm about 5.5 hours east of Buffalo. I might be able to find Miller's in a butcher shop, but definitely not in my local supermarket, unfortunately. At one of the tailgates last year, @Cripple Creek made beef on weck. @BringBackFergy assembled one for me and loaded it with Miller's. First bite was a shocker!!!! Great stuff.
  16. Miller's is the shizzit. Can't buy it in my area, unfortunately, but I've found other horseradish that packs a punch. I love making beef on weck at home. Last time was Super Bowl Sunday.
  17. Last night's cooking soundtrack was Rubber Soul, immediately followed by Revolver. It reminded me of a time in 2003, hanging out in my buddy's car before heading into a Lollapalooza to see Jane's Addiction. We were chilling out to Revolver and commenting on how we both loved Paul's harmony in the lyric, "by my window," from "I'm Only Sleeping." I sent him a text to let him know that memory had popped into my head. Re: listening to these two albums back-to-back, he said, "No better two-for in rock and roll." I immediately said, "ooooh … now THAT is a great topic." Trying to figure out how to frame a thread for all of us great music fans to discuss what we think are the best "back-to-back releases," in rock. Zep provides a challenge. Personally I think I'd say III - IV. But then I think about how awesome I - II and II - III were. Police Outlandos - Regatta is a great one. Thread worthy???
  18. You really must.
  19. I thought you were more of a Grindr guy.
  20. Why didn't Beane and McDermott just stay in North Carolina?
  21. MS-13! Run!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Come to Glens Falls, Joe. I'll introduce you to the New Way Lunch hot dog. Classic for 100 years.
  23. I'd let her hold my panhandle.
