Until the NFL has an utterly unqualified Asian woman owning and running a football team, I am SO DONE with this league.

I am an essential employee, so I still go to work M-F. But my son also has a permit and we go driving on weekends. I'll agree that there's less traffic for him to deal with and it's helped. Less traffic has also trimmed my commute time considerably, especially ( and most importantly ) on the way home. Since this crap started, I haven't seen stop and go traffic either way.

My excitement level over watching the nuthatches makes my son look at me funny.

I really think the actual problem needs to be clearly identified. If the most highly-qualified candidates for HC or GM are being overlooked, we need to know why. There could be white candidates being overlooked due to nepotism. Or - at the very worst - black candidates being overlooked due to racism. I don't think we know that. I'd like to know how Arizona landed on Kliff Kingsbury as their guy. He was a horrible college HC with exactly 0 days' experience in the NFL in a coaching capacity of any kind. How does that happen????

Twenty-nine consecutive years with a HOF QB and they managed to get two Super Bowl rings. That's almost as bad as the Bills' drought.

Perhaps more black people should get some shots at college-level coaching gigs, then, through time - there would be more black coaches qualified to come to the NFL as assistants - giving them the proper amount of experience necessary to become a legitimate candidate for an NFL HC job. What do the coaching staffs look like for the most successful college programs out there? I don't follow college football, but I do listen to sports radio. Every year, there are high profile college HC vacancies and I don't recall any minorities being discussed for those positions. I also don't think too many NFL HCs have been hired for an NFL HC without years of college coaching and - usually - years of NFL assistant coaching experience. That shouldn't change.

I think you are 100% correct. I lost my job ~6 years ago (layoff) and it turned my entire life upside down. Ruined me financially for years. I've bounced back, but I am never comfortable. I will never feel secure in a job again. I'm not saying I have PTSD. Just pointing out that this pandemic is going to alter a lot of lives. Even people who've been able to collect unemployment (with the $600 weekly kicker) may be able to go back to jobs from which they've been furloughed, or find new employment when things open up. But when the IRS wants their money come tax time, many are going to be in for a shock and find themselves going up against owing the government money. It's not pretty. Even with a payment plan, penalties continue to accrue. This is going to affect a lot of people for a very long time in ways that are not physical-health related. Sad times.

Not acknowledging that Lamar Jackson is a RB is silly. I've given you as much substance as I choose to. I've watch both players in multiple games and I'd rather have Josh Allen as my long-term QB than Lamar Jackson. Again ... Jackson had a fantastic season. My opinion is simply that he'll never come close to doing it again and that if we fast forward to 2025, Josh Allen will be a top 5 QB in the league and Jackson will be a backup. Again .. my opinion. My opinion is based on the eye test and history. Because history has given us a lot of running QBs who've had limited regular season success and short-lived careers as starters. Josh will be better. Period.
