This really boils down to 2020 levels of ability AND durability, to me. I think we can all agree that Barkley is the more durable of the two. Career-wise, of course Flacco has proven that he's the better QB. But 2019 Flacco was on the level of one of the worst starters in the league. He is a shell of his former self. I think comparing the 2020 versions of each QB, they're probably neck and neck. That's why I give the nod to Barkley over Flacco. But I wouldn't mind an upgrade.

I don't understand this sentiment. Didn't we learn what bringing a QB in his mid-30s who hadn't played meaningful football in a while got us? Derek Anderson was about one decent hit from saying, "eff this, man." And so is Flacco. He's 35. He's coming off of a serious injury. He hasn't played since the middle of last year. This guy got sacked 26 times in 8 games. Is Matt Barkley great, or even good? Nah. But neither is Flacco and Flacco is an old statue who's one hit away from being done for good. So is either great solution if a long-term backup is needed? No. But I'd take 2020 Barkley over 2020 Flacco any day of the week.

I gave up on suet cakes because of squirrels. And every 5-6 years, I randomly throw out my back doing NOTHING strenuous. Always a fluke. Last time (knock on wood) was a few years ago. What was I doing? I was rubbing vaseline on my shepard's hook (that's not code) because of those evil mother *****.

I think this is SUPER COOL. Trumpeteers, dust off your trumpets and let's hear what you got!!! https://www.cbsnews.com/news/how-to-participate-in-steve-hartmans-taps-across-america/ Memorial Day celebrations across the U.S. will look a bit different this year, with most picnics, parades, and services canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak. That's why CBS News "On the Road" correspondent Steve Hartman is teaming up with retired Air Force bugler Jari Villanueva to keep the spirit of the holiday alive. Hartman and Villanueva are asking veterans, musicians, teachers, and students of all abilities and ages to sound Taps on their front lawns, porches, and driveways at 3 p.m. local time this Monday, May 25th.

Those sticky suet cakes are a pain in the ass to handle. Thanks for posting, T&C.

Have you ever seen a tow truck tow a vehicle from behind? -
Rewatching the ravens game tonight
Gugny replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Baltimore was obviously the better team. I just think this was a winnable game, even though the Ravens were pretty much in control for the whole game. We contained the best QB in 2019 ... but we gave up big plays. Our offense sucked. Gore shouldn't even have had pads on. And it STILL ended up a close game. That's why I say we should have won. If the Bills had better play-calling, I do think they could have won the game. But yes ... the better team won. EDIT: I also disagree that Singletary "was doing absolutely nothing most of the game." Just a quick glance at the play by play and I see runs of 9, 14, 8, 5 and 6 in the first half, alone. Then I see that got a whopping seven carries in the 2nd half - one of which was a 38-yard run to give the Bills 1st and goal. -

Is that being tugged or towed? @Cripple Creek @BringBackFergy -
Because it happened in the deep south.

Rewatching the ravens game tonight
Gugny replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Daboll's play-calling killed any chance at winning the game. Passing 39 times with a pretty ineffective Allen, whilst only running the ball 23 times in a game where Singletary was (as usual) averaging over 5 YPC, was stupid. Baltimore was clearly the better coached team. Just like they were all season. -

The Ravens game is not only a game that we could have won; it's a game that we should have won. I need to stop clicking links about these kinds of games. Dammit, John!! -
Hi, Nate! Welcome to the board! When you swim now, do you go in circles? Do people call you NASCAR?

I'm not impressed with Tre White's team mates doing nothing. -
Well the night's begun and you want some fun Do you think you're gonna find it (think you're gonna find it) You got to treat yourself like number one Do you need to be reminded (need to be reminded) It doesn't matter what you do or say Just forget the things that you've been told We can't do it any other way Everybody's got to rock n roll Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud

Clicking that link was disappointing in so many ways.

Dallas 175 million 5 year offer to Prescott
Gugny replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm all for Dak getting paid and I think it makes sense for him to seek a 4 year deal. I'm just pointing out that it's a bit of a slap in the face to tens of millions of unemployed US citizens right now to see a billionaire and a millionaire fighting over a $175 million football contract. -

At the same time 38.6 million Americans are collecting unemployment. Great optic, eh? -
Can you share the details of this study? That number seems very high.
