  1. Agreed. If nothing else, the NFL has been consistent with league-wide mandates rules since the beginning of the pandemic. And what's been consistent is that EVERYTHING has been one-size fits all - contrary to what the anonymous NFL source said.
  2. So I guess they can have the Confederate Flag back, now?
  3. I've never believed that Yoko broke up the Beatles. But I don't think Linda did, either. They ran their course, like many others do.
  4. Maybe I'm just reading the wrong news. Do you have any examples of recent racial hoaxes?
  5. I think he showcased his talents on a pretty consistent basis, both with the Beatles and with WIngs/solo stuff. Tons of great bass lines, lead vocals and harmonies. Yeah ... he wrote lots of radio-friendly, poppy tunes. But he also wrote some high-quality stuff. He just loved writing hits and those hits are why he's loved across the globe.
  6. No. No. No. No. No. The Goodnight Tonight bass line makes it better than both of those Stones songs (both of which were far more disco than any McCartney/Wings song, ever).
  7. You'll wait? It took you two minutes to say it never happened.
  8. We did IVF in Morristown, NJ. Very lucky to have had it be successful on our first try. The day the eggs were inserted, we were next to a couple from Texas on their SEVENTH try. I still think about them and wonder. Could not be happier for the Goodwins. A welcome ray of sunshine during otherwise very cloudy days.
  9. I was an avid tennis fan in the 80s and 90s. Phenomenal tennis on the men's and women's side.
  10. Hands down, my favorite player of all time.
  11. Our local rock stations play the version of "Money for Nothing" with that entire verse completely omitted. I always liked, "Island Girl," but those lyrics!!! They've given me pause for years! I see your teeth flash, Jamaican honey so sweet Black boy want you in his island world Well she's black as coal, but she burn like a fire And she wrap herself around you like a well-worn tire That is friggin' horrible!
  12. "Late this afternoon, NASCAR was made aware that a noose was found in the garage stall of the 43 team. We are angry and outraged, and cannot state strongly enough how seriously we take this heinous act," NASCAR said in a statement. "We have launched an immediate investigation, and will do everything we can to identify the person(s) responsible and eliminate them from the sport. https://www.espn.com/racing/nascar/story/_/id/29345568/nascar-says-noose-found-bubba-wallace-garage-talladega UPDATE: https://www.espn.com/racing/nascar/story/_/id/29354447/fbi-says-rope-had-talladega-garage-last-fall-bubba-wallace-not-victim-hate-crime The FBI has determined that NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace was not the victim of a hate crime and that a pull rope fashioned like a noose had been on a garage door at Talladega Superspeedway since as early as last fall, NASCAR said Tuesday. "The FBI report concludes, and photographic evidence confirms, that the garage door pull rope fashioned like a noose had been positioned there since as early as last fall," NASCAR said in its statement. "This was obviously well before the 43 team's arrival and garage assignment.
  13. Why was this written this week when it happened last season ... and was written about last season by other journalists (when it happened)?
  14. What about teams who traded that draft's picks the prior season? Do you know/remember how that was handled? If a team traded a 2021 first round pick for a player, then that team should not have a 2021 first round pick, IMO.
  15. I love football, but I think this would absolutely suck.
  16. Yep. Playing not to lose is not a good strategy. And the Houston game was just mind-boggling stupidity. I'll also add that McDermott is HORRIBLE at challenges. One of the worst.
  17. I think Smith goes bye bye. My unpopular take is that Sweeney ends up having the best TE numbers on the Bills next year.
