  1. REPORTED! Enjoy your vacation!
  2. Just think where he'd be if he didn't get suspended 3 weeks out of every month!
  3. This seriously shocks me. I had no idea you were bi.
  4. There is no way that's a woman.
  5. The long-time editor of our hometown paper (The Post-Star) just announced his retirement yesterday. It saddens me. Reading the paper in the morning before work was the beginning of my day for many years. After spending four months on the Editorial Board (as a citizens' rep) and even working there for ~9 months (sales job to fill the gap between when I got laid off and found another job in my field), I not only made friends but I also grew a great appreciation for everything everyone did. First, it was getting rid of copy editors. Then the reporting staff was slashed. Then they shut down the printing press (a newspaper about an hour south of us prints it every day). They priced me out a few years ago. The delivery service became horrible and the prices went up, without notice, multiple times/year. Finally, I had to pull the plug. It's a shame to watch this industry die.
  6. When I bought my suits at S&K they had someone mark them up and they were sent to a tailor for alterations. I was very pleased. But I've only ever worn suits to wakes, funerals and weddings .. you know, all things associated with death.
  7. Are you ***** kidding me?
  8. I always found it to be a ***** snobfest in there. Little a-hole is making $11/hour and he's going to look down his nose at everyone who walks in the door? Eff you, pal. I haven't bought a suit in over a decade, but I was happy with my S&K suits and still wear them when the occasion calls for it.
  9. Just don't call it an "NFL season," don't let the stats count and don't call the championship game the Super Bowl. This would be nothing but a series of exhibition games. Ain't gone be no football.
  10. The only oddity that sticks out to me is that Darnold got a vote. Other than that, looks pretty accurate to me.
  11. I think she looks like Cris Collinsworth in drag. And she also has an Adam's Apple. That is an Adam's Apple, right?
  12. Ehhhhh ... I don't like it. But what the hell ... I'll submit The Song Remains the Same and Woodstock.
  13. Always a "yes," in my book. RIP.
  14. Not sure what state you're from, but New York is in just about the best shape in the country and I don't want anything putting that into jeopardy. Any kind of "bubble" plan is a pipe dream. If anyone thinks these athletes are going to go months without getting laid or seeing their families, you're out of your minds. Had the "idiot states," followed NY/NJ/CT, my feelings would be much, much different, I'm sure. But as of now, this country is an effing mess as far as the pandemic is concerned and forcing an NFL season, to me, shouldn't be a priority.
  15. TOTALLY familiar with them!!! Very cool stuff. I appreciate the nod, though!!
  16. At my local grocery store (Hannaford), the short bus carts have a flaw. There's no clearance below for walking like there is in the bigger carts. If I hold the short bus the same distance away that I do the big boys, my feet hit the deck of the cart. So I need to consciously extend my arms to provide clearance. For that reason, I forego the short buses.
  17. Are you arguing with yourself right now?
  18. So the juncos left town and I got my hanging flower basket back. That nest was smack dab in the middle and deep! So I picked all the dead heads off and got some fresh water in there .. and decided to do the same with the other flower basket. What do I see? A mother ***** nest. AND a little egg. But it had been abandoned, which is sad. I've lived in my house for 12 years and have hanging baskets every year. NEVER have birds nested in them. I hope this doesn't become a habit.
  19. I'm gonna credit our defense.
  20. I respectfully disagree with your Stewart Copeland sentiment. I think he'd have made it, even without Sting/the Police. I do agree that Sting was gonna be a superstar, no matter what. But Sting's vision could not have come to fruition without Copeland's drumming abilities. Everything about the Police was unique (guitar, bass, drums). It's why - to me - they really are their own genre. No band has ever even tried to mimic them. But their impact was/is enormous and it's easy to hear which musicians/bands were influenced by them. Like the Beatles (and Hendrix), the Police made an everlasting mark in a very short period of time (1978-1983). Very impressive. As for the original topic, yes ... Ringo was super lucky, LOL. A great drummer (or singer, or musician) he has never been. But the Beatles didn't need a great drummer, so it all worked out. HFBD, Ringo!
  21. I'm not worked up at all. I'm also not shut in. I guess part of "living and enjoying life," for me is knowing I'm doing my part as far as not killing other people goes. And no ... no, you're not "doing fine," in Georgia. Be well.
