COVID-19 - Facts and Information Only Topic
Gugny replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in Off the Wall
CT, NJ and NY have set the example for the rest of the nation to follow. Unfortunately, not many states did the "follow" part and I hope those people stay in their states and leave ours alone. The list of mandatory quarantine states doubled to 16 yesterday and I expect it to continue to grow pretty quickly. Good. I just wish it could be enforced somehow. https://www.governor.ny.gov/news/governor-cuomo-announces-individuals-traveling-new-york-eight-additional-states-will-be The full, updated list of states on the travel advisory is below: Alabama Arkansas Arizona California Florida Georgia Iowa Idaho Louisiana Mississippi North Carolina Nevada South Carolina Tennessee Texas Utah -
Antonio Brown interest: UPDATE AB says he's retiring AGAIN
Gugny replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh, I don't think any of it is on the WRs. This is all on Jackson. Jackson has two tools: Running and throwing short passes to TEs over the middle of the field. When people say that BAL is a good fit for Antonio Brown, I just don't see it. It's like saying Thurman Thomas would have been a good fit on the Marino-era Dolphins. -
The ketchup is the main ingredient in making the BBQ sauce.

The last time I did a pork butt in the oven, I coated it with liquid smoke before putting on mustard and rub. I thought it did a great job, as far as giving smokey flavor.

Been busy, Tipster. How are you?

For all of you crockpot pulled pork naysayers, here is a recipe that a former coworker shared with me, as his grandmother wrote it. It turns out ridiculously good. Yes .. I prefer the smoker or the oven, too. But this really is legit. (to save time, I am not going to worry about capitalization, etc. I'm typing it as it's written) bbq sauce: cook an onion finely chopped until soft put onions in a pot, add equal parts of light brown sugar, ketchup and apple juice (usually 2 cups is good) add a squirt of mustard, a few dashes of worcestershire and liquid smoke bring to a boil an simmer for 15-20 min or until it's the consistency that you want Pork: Put the pork in the crockpot, use 1 cup of sauce and top off with apple juice Cook for about 8 hours pull pork out of crock pot, discard cooking liquid shred pork and return to crockpot, add the rest of the sauce, stir and heat until hot Serve Laugh all you want, but before I got a smoker, this is how I made it and it is phenomenal.

I couldn't even PRETEND to be a Jets fan. And you are correct ... I'd troll way better than this!

I don't have the balls to create an alter ego and risk getting banned. I'm happy being my loveable self in the flesh! And troll??? I would never!!!

Michael Lombardi "Bills have a huge hole at QB".

Ye Ole! Just saying hello and hoping you and yours are well, my friend. -
Because he's not a Jets fan, silly. He's a Bills fan and a TBDer who created an alter ego to have fun. Unfortunately for him, he's not very good at it, as it's as transparent as cellophane.

Antonio Brown interest: UPDATE AB says he's retiring AGAIN
Gugny replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Two years a row, it worked well enough to get to the playoffs and two years in a row playoff defenses shut it down. Not sustainable. The Ravens' window with Jackson at QB was small. Now it's shut. I know I'm in the minority, but I think in 5 years Jackson is a backup and Allen is a superstar. -

If You Don't Turn That Down, I Will Stab You!
Gugny replied to Gugny's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I "did not" witness (according to my statement at Captain's Mast) an amazing fight onboard the ship I was stationed on due to TV issues. Drunk guy (Feliciano) comes in to berthing area at night, turns on TV. Guy sleeping in top bunk (Cooper) reaches over, turns TV off. This goes back and forth a few times, then Cooper jumps down and tries to reason with Feliciano. Voices didn't even raise, next thing I know they are going at it. Cooper was smaller than Feliciano. Tried to gouge Feliciano's eyes out. Fight spills out into the passageway ... down the hall they go .... Cooper grabs Feliciano by the neck and then Feliciano grabs Cooper, picks him up and throws him down a hatch that led to the Chief's berthing area. All I heard was ... "Feliciano! What did you do??" as the motionless Cooper laid on the deck 10-12 feet below. Cooper ended up being okay. Since there were "no witnesses," Feliciano got minimal punishment. After I made my statement, which was, "I didn't see anything," one of the Chiefs said, "thank you for your bullsh*t statement," as I walked out. Good times. Good times. -
Antonio Brown interest: UPDATE AB says he's retiring AGAIN
Gugny replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Baltimore's top 3 WRs gained a total of 1194 receiving yards last year. That's 398/each. Two of them played all 16 games. The other played 14. -

The only good thing about a team signing him is watching the subsequent meltdown. He's nothing but a walking reality show, now. He's not a football player. -
I have a fantastic crock pot pulled pork recipe. It's always gotten rave reviews. I'll post it when I get home tonight.

The hole on the Bills roster that could ruin the season
Gugny replied to JetsFan20's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're like Jimmy Spagnola Lite. It's cute. I like it. -
I can't find anything, either, with regard to what the Patriots offered him. But knowing the Pats' history, I'm sure they lowballed him with the "promise" to go deep into the playoffs. I'm sure money had something to do with it, but maybe culture is important to him, too. At the time he signed with the Bills, Allen was a question, but with a lot of upside. And it was a fact that Brady and Gronk were getting old. Glad he chose us, either way.
