  1. This, to me, is the likeliest story.
  2. He played in three consecutive games in October, in which he had 7 targets and 6 catches. Then he sat for 9 weeks and played in a throwaway game vs. the Jets, followed by the playoff game. My hunch is that if he'd been on the field weekly (playing consistently), his target:catch ratio would have been much better. But that's just a hunch .... because he sat for 9 weeks. EDIT: At the same time, Bob Foster was active for 13 reg. season games, had 18 targets and 3 catches. That's poor roster management, IMO.
  3. HFBD, @KD in CA !!!!
  4. Personally, I think it's unfair to judge him based on how he was inactive for 12 regular season games, then thrust into the offense in a playoff game and given 10 targets. I still think he CAN be a good WR. Hopefully we see better roster management in the next full season.
  5. As a youngster (8 or 9) sharing a bedroom with my older brother, I spent a lot of time listening to the Red and Blue albums. I distinctly remember, "Help!" being one of the songs that really sucked me in. Great, great stuff.
  6. I think that's a fair assessment, but I think modern day players keep the "killer instinct," so to speak between the sidelines and only during the game. I'm cool with that.
  7. And with all that's gone on in the history of the NFL, you'd think that teams would learn that when you draft/sign scumbag, thug criminals, that no matter how much money you give them, they will not change.
  8. I think it's a logical theory. Right out of the gate, Josh formed a tight bond with Darnold. That bothered a lot of people (here), but I've thought it was awesome from day one. I think, in addition to the passion for the game that you pointed out, it's also a sign of maturity.
  9. Is it me, or do the Bills do more training with other teams' players now than they ever did? Not sure if this is something that's always been commonplace, but I don't recall hearing as much about it in past years. Personally, I love it.
  10. And it's my opinion that for some of these athletes that the "special resources," are other people taking their tests/doing their assignments and/or boosters paying professors to ensure their grades are high enough to allow them to play. To me, that is a huge problem.
  11. I'm not saying that being an NFL player means you're dumb. The league is loaded with smart dudes. But, being the smart man that YOU are, there is no goddamn way that you believe that all of these guys get into college legitimately qualifying for entry. Me? I call it like I see it. There is not a chance in hell that someone who can't put together a complete sentence in his mother tongue had the grades necessary to get into/graduate from any college.
  12. I don't think a complete separation is the answer. I do, however, think that student-athletes should be accepted into school by the same criteria all other students are. And I think some sort of D league for those who can't get into school for academic reasons, but have pro-level athletic talent. It's a win-win for the athlete and for the scholar who might otherwise be on the outside looking into the school that had no room for them.
  13. Maybe people who aren't smart enough to go to college shouldn't prevent others, who are, from going to college - just to play football and make other people rich. Mind you - I don't fault the players. They're being used.
  14. Biggest weakness: Doesn't have an Offensive Coordinator who designs an offense based on Allen's strengths (and weaknesses).
  15. I think you know as well as I do that most of the players' degrees/education (I use those terms loosely) were not earned and will do nothing for them after football.
  16. And to think ... not one player is getting paid a dime. That's the bigger problem, IMO.
  17. Don't forget about this one ... https://tinyurl.com/y32lcs59
  18. Effin' farmers!
  19. Please, don't fit it up.
  20. Lucky bastard doesn't even need to have any ribs removed.
  21. I took them down tonight. One nest was empty. That one went into the garbage. The other one had an egg in it, but I think it's an old egg. I left it out, but not hanging.
