  1. My son is a metalhead and guitarist; he loves Dimebag and I agree - he was an amazing guitarist.
  2. Chet Atkins Roy Clark Jimi Hendrix Eddie Van Halen That would be my Mt. Rushmore because they were all game-changers, IMO. Personally, I think Hendrix and SRV are the two greatest guitarists who ever lived. But there are so many phenomenal guitarists across multiple genres, narrowing it down to four is impossible. It's actually frustrating to me, LOL. Frusciante, Knopfler, Buckingham, Andy Summers, Clapton, John Mayer (incredibly underrated), Jeff Beck, David Gilmour Alex Lifeson. Al Di Meola .... all worthy of adoration and respect. I don't listen to Jazz, but I have no doubt there are dozens of guitarists who would blow away anyone on most people's list. But that goes back to the genre thing. Anyway, this should be a fun thread!
  3. What was this person famous for?
  4. Exactly.
  5. This is just one of many reasons why Cohen fired BVW 42 seconds after he bought the Mets. Don't hire a ***** AGENT to be your General Manager!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm okay. I swear.
  6. I think there's a difference between looking for praise/a pat on the back and bringing a positive development/step forward to people's attention. What good would it do to revisit the past? We need to move forward. Our country is more racially divided today than it has been (outwardly) in decades. I don't know why anyone would criticize the NFL for doing something to help that situation.
  7. Such a simple concept; one that continues to be taught to resist.
  8. Well, his father's one of them table jumpers.
  9. Damn. I was gonna say Tai Wilkenfeld, but she's too young. She is phenomenal.
  10. Joan Jett
  11. I cheated, so I'm out. I never knew this person existed before today. Now I wish there was a biopic!
  12. You're up, dude.
  13. HFBD, @Beerball !!!!!!!!
  14. I guess I'll just have to virtually avoid watching it like I do in real life. I'd rather watch intramural badminton.
  15. Sage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was a fantastic write-up and thanks for putting the work into it. GO BEELS!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. That was a shot in the dark, but the funny hint led me there!
  17. I don't like people telling me what to do.
  18. Cheri Oteri?
  19. I think Top 10 is definitely fair.
  20. Bingo! Exiled was "THIS" close, but you nailed it. Nice! And it kills me that Mitchell never seems to be in the "greatest rock drummers of all time," discussion. I think he was easily one of the best.
  21. No. But just about the same age.
  22. He was alive in two different centuries. Just like us, dude. No. He was not a singer, nor a stringed instrument player.
  23. To me, it seems to be about preparedness. I am all about "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." But the flip side of that is that if the other team adjusts, be prepared to immediately adjust accordingly. We cannot continue to rely on hanging onto big leads that become smaller, or on 4th quarter comebacks. We are (7-3) and our point differential is .7. The only team with a winning record and a lower point differential is Cleveland (6-3) with a p.d. of -3.1. Every other team below .7 (17 teams) has a losing record. It's just not sustainable and these games are close because of crappy third quarters.
  24. Nancy McKeon?
