  1. If I haven’t actually hung out with them in person or spoken to them on the phone for decades, then I’d consider them “old friends from high school.” I have a lot of those and am facebook “friends” with them. But I still consider them “old” friends. If I’m in contact with a person occasionally throughout the year, then yes … I call those people friends.
  2. When will JJ Watt go the ***** away?

Inwas just commenting on pitbulls in response to your comment … about pitbulls. They are the most euthanized because they maim and kill the most people. Statistics are everywhere. They’re born killers. Regardless of upbringing.

    Breeding pitbulls should be banned.
  5. So same players who are able to execute for 3/4 of the game somehow lose that ability when it comes time protect a lead late in the game? That doesn’t compute to me.
  6. 1. I have no idea what the reference is. B. Did you just call me old, you ***** cow fister??
  7. Depends on how bad they have to *****.
  8. How much worse would the end result be? Seriously.
  9. Same here. The second the game was over, I quietly turned the channel to Shark Tank (because Mark Cuban soothes my soul). Shortly thereafter, I went outside and replaced my Bills flag with my holiday-themed flag (we’d decorated the porch before the game started). Then I went on with the remainder of my Sunday. I will get excited again when we have a new head coach.
  10. My initial feeling was that it was a completion and he was down as soon as he hit the ground. But after some more thought, I’m going to go with INT. If he didn’t establish control of the ball before it popped out when he hit the ground, then it’s a live ball. Without established control, whether he hits the ground or not is a moot point. As long as the ball hasn’t touched the ground, then it’s a live ball. That’s my final answer, Regis.
  11. I doubt the STQ name is still used, which is a good thing. It’s definitely not the only inappropriately-named game we played in the late 70s/early 80s.
  12. This just dawned on me: If Barbara Walters ever sang the Beatles’ “Revolution,” she would sing “and you know it’s gonna be … all white …” You’re welcome.

Since concert tickets have skyrocketed in price, I’ve chosen to be very selective. This is one show that I’m definitely going to. I’ll probably keep it less-expensive by getting lawn seats, but I don’t care. Sammy and Michael are enough for me and they picked the best possible guitarist to play EVH riffs/solos. I cannot wait!
  14. My friends and I always played Smear the Q.ueer on Thanksgiving morning.
  15. The piss-poor personnel management has been a problem since McDermott got hired. He is the common denominator.
  16. Ditto. I don’t understand the JW hate on this board.
  17. I think if Beane was paired with a coaching staff who actually wanted to use the offensive players he’s drafted, then his grades would be much higher. But he’s been saddled with a HC who doesn’t like to play rookies, inexplicably benches young players, and under-or-mis-utilizes them - it’s difficult to look successful. We’ve all seen Singletary and Moss do we’ll post-McDermott. We all saw Beane give everything but his left nut to get a pass-catching RB in Hines … only to see him become a special teams player. We have all seen what Shakir can do when he’s actually on the field. So I have a difficult time condemning Beane … to an extent. I do think he took too long to address the O line and I do think he’s erred by not getting a legitimate WR2 to complement Diggs. But overall, I think a lot of his “misses,” are more of an overt disconnect between himself and his coaching staff.
  18. Or your generation simply wasn’t smart.
  19. Shaved steak. Salt-n-pepa. Wiz - wit. Here’s the game changer … hear me out … Miracle Whip. You’ll thank me later. This is thanks to @CountryCletus
  20. Talk of the Town is far from my favorite restaurant. Above, I chose that I switch it up when I go out. I don’t really have a favorite restaurant. We don’t go out to dinner very often, but we do lunch on most weekends. We like trying differ t places, but do sometimes frequent a handful of places. One is a diner up in Warrensburg (Luck-E Star). When we went there for the first time, we got hot dogs. They were phenomenal. We’ve been there a couple more times and have still only had this hot dogs.
