It's a bay, so the water isn't running, per se. But it's moving. I fished that bay for decades with my father and albeit not much, the water does move. It's just so early into the winter and the temps have not been conducive to significant ice building. But ... as I said ... they do it every year and no one seems to get hurt, thankfully. I love me some perch, but not that much!!!

Can't really tell how thick the ice is. It can't be very thick, as it was in the 50s less than a week ago. Not to mention, it's a river, so there's moving water. They do it every year, though, and no one has died that I know of. The water is very shallow there, anyway. Still dumb, IMO. EDIT: I misread your post. Didn't see the law part of your question. I don't think there is a law. If it was on state park land and there was a do not go onto the ice sign, I'm sure that would be different.

I don't see how this is any different than any other family who is being diligent, responsible and following CDC guidelines.

Can totally relate, dude. I grew up in a very close family - my parents, older bro and older sis. Long story, short - my brother married a c-word who, for some reason, made it her mission to completely divide my brother's side of the family and alienate my brother from all of us. My bro and his c-wife proceeded to raise their three children to believe that her side of the family is what matters. They only see my parents at Christmas (and they're ***** Jewish) so they can get their envelopes with money in them. What used to be a holiday full of love and peace is now full of tension and anxiety ... and my parents (who've never hurt a soul) feel the most of it. I chose to not go to my parents' (81 and 76) house this Christmas Eve because I've been exposed to a number of people who've recently tested positive for C-19. This has been the best Christmas I've had for decades. And it's a Goddamn shame.

Then why is Brandon Beane considered the second rising of Christ for picking Allen? Kiper had Cody Ford projected as a 5th rounder. Dawson Knox wasn't even on his radar. We see how those two picks turned out.
