I've never heard him, nor heard OF him. I like what people are writing about him, though. As a personal experiment, I'm going to avoid hearing him (will not be difficult) and just wait till the Super Bowl. I am intrigued.

I know Ron Kittle spent some time in Glens Falls with the White Sox AA affiliate. John Smoltz came to town very briefly as a single A Detroit Tiger. I'm sure there were others, but those to come to mind. Coincidentally, Dave LaPoint graduated from Glens Falls High School and went on to have a decent career, winning a World Series with the Cardinals and playing for the Yankees and other teams. He ended up starting a non-MLB-affiliated league in the northeast and it stuck around for a handful of years and owned a team that played in the same field (East Field - named as such because it was in the "East End," of Glens Falls (where my dad grew up). The quality of baseball was less than that of single A, but it was still fun to watch. East Field is now used for (I believe) a JuCo league. The field has gone to hell, unfortunately. Sad to see it deteriorate.

My son dealt with bullying every year from 4th grade through 11th grade. He is a senior now and actually prefers to go into school. They are on an every other day schedule at this time. But he has hated school for most of his life and can't wait to put it behind him. A-hole parents raise a-hole kids. Lots of a-holes where we live, unfortunately.

Some people measure how great of an owner Ralph Wilson was based on his will to keep the team in Buffalo. I'm not one of those people. He wasn't a good NFL owner and he could have lived to be 200 years old and the Bills would never win a Super Bowl.
