I agree that Diaz has been solid this year so far. I also agree that we seem to have weathered the storm. Getting healthier as the All-Star Break approaches. I'm sure Alderson will make a move or two and I see the Mets running away with the division.
That said, the division is weak and the playoffs will be no joke. But I think the Mets are built to win playoff series.
We shall see.

As far as fast food joints go, I agree that McD's is at the top. BK's fries are pretty solid, too.
With regard to 5 Guys - I TOTALLY agree that they do not fall into the "fast food," bucket. Their fries are great and I think they make the best burger out there, as far as chain restaurants are concerned.
Asked a girl what she wanted to be
She said, "baby, can't you see
I want to be famous, a star on the screen
But you can do something in between
Baby, you can drive my car
Yes, I'm gonna be a star
Baby, you can drive my car
And maybe I'll love you"
Worth pointing out that the Mets are far from alone as far as teams who've gone the deferred payment route:

• Max Scherzer: Will receive $105 million total from the Nationals that will be paid out through 2028.
• Manny Ramírez: Will collect $24.2 million total from the Red Sox through 2026.
• Ken Griffey Jr.: Will receive $3.59 million from the Reds every year through 2024 as the deferral from his nine-year, $116 million deal signed in 2000.
• Todd Helton: Will get $1.3 million from the Rockies every year through 2023 as the result of $13 million deferred when he signed a two-year extension in 2010.
George has been turning over in his grave since the day he died. His sons have destroyed this team. Even as a Mets fan, I loved the Yankees for decades. Ever since George lost the ability to make decisions and subsequently passed, the Yankees organization has lost every ounce of respect I've ever had for it.
People like to throw the 26 number out there, but it's been a looooong time since the last one.
If George were still alive and "with it," I am confident that would not have been the case.
He was a great owner and the Yankees were always a respectable team during his tenure.
Not so much, since.
It doesn't matter what Gase does at this school. As long as Jefferson doesn't find out that it was Spicoli who trashed his car, he's gonna make those Lincoln boys pay.
