I don’t understand why people feel this way. Do people make a sandwich while they’re driving home after grocery shopping?

**Breaking News** Pete Carroll out in Seattle
Gugny replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am a Beane fan and he has made some solid moves. But if we’re talking historically, Belichick has out GM’d him by a very long shot. And re: Welker, before Belichick acquired him, he was JAG for 3 seasons. Two seasons with Miami in which he had about 1100 receiving. He came to NE and had multiple 1000+ yard seasons. It was a great acquisition and one of many for Belichick. Last year, Beane snagged John Brown and Cole Beasley to shore up the playoff roster. It’s really not close. The only thing they have in common is having elite QBs. One of them knew how to leverage that so far. Not trying to pile on Beane, but it makes me laugh when Bills fans (not you) try to sell the “Belichick wasn’t a great coach and was a horrible GM,” story. The Lombardis say otherwise. -

The fact is that he got the right players to complement his HOF QB and won 6 rings in doing so. We got Von Miller and Cody Ford. -

I think Belichick the GM was responsible for the NE dynasty more than Belichick the coach was. He drafted, acquired and dumped A LOT of players at the perfect time. The “he wasn’t a good GM” narrative has always boggled my mind. From castoffs like Welker to guys in their prime like Moss, he pushed all the right buttons. The list of major contributors and Hall of Famers is long. And his draft record isn’t nearly as bad as many make it out to be. In fact, it’s very good. -
Which playoff team would bother you most if they won the Super Bowl?

Dallas. My hatred still runs deep. -
I had a close friend through high school and beyond. The last conversation we had was sitting at a bar and he told me how he enjoyed crack. I urged him not to mess with it and he assured me that he only did it once in a while and it was not addictive. We were in our early 20s. It wasn’t long after that conversation that he died by suicide.

Rodgers booted from the Pat Mcafee show for the rest of the season.

Agreed. I have never found Kimmel funny or entertaining. -

I wouldn’t say I defended Rodgers. I just don’t think the verbiage he used directly accused Kimmel of being on the list. He simply said that Kimmel was hoping the list wouldn’t come out. The history is that when Rodgers mentioned the list previously, Kimmel made fun of him - saying there was no such list. Did he know some would interpret it as an accusation? Most likely. I commend his wordsmithing. But truth be told, I’ve always thought Rodgers was a douche and still do. I wouldn’t say I defended Rodgers. I agree that Rodgers never even insinuated that Kimmel was on the list. But … much like the Kelce/Swift “relationship,” I believe all of this has been coordinated between Rodgers, Kimmel and McAfee. -

I feel the need to say this … I do not take substance abuse lightly. I have lost friends to substance abuse and I know that more than one TBDer has lost family to substance abuse. My poll is strictly out of curiosity. I am not making light of it. In fact, I just said my final goodbye to one of my closest friends who succumbed to substance abuse. I’m really just interested in how my people who have, and still are, messing with this stuff.

I grew up in the 80s and never even saw cocaine until I was about 20. I’ve always been afraid of it and have never tried it. Wondering how many of you have and if you liked it, hated it and/or still do it.

It’s definitely up there!!

1. HFBD, Jimmy Page! 2. You wanna feel old? Van Halen’s “1984” album was released on Jimmy Page’s 40th birthday. You’re welcome!!

Brandon Beane should be Executive of the Year.

Von Miller wholeheartedly agrees. 💰 -
As long as everyone has fun and no one gets hurt, I will be happy. Then everyone is a winner!

Von Miller is irrelevant. As far as I’m concerned, he and Hamlin can be a couple of Buffalo Jills. Wasted roster spots.

There’s not a lot that makes me actually laugh out loud on here … but this one definitely did. F*cking perfect. -

This is very sad. And I had no idea that Cher had a child with Allman.

What are the greatest or your favorite sad songs?
