Training Camp Buzz: Zach Ertz 'not happy' at Eagles camp
Gugny replied to Bobby Hooks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd be excited about this had we not just signed Bug Howard. -
Anything you look back on fondly that hasn’t aged well?

Much more difficult to fight when doctors are the biggest dealers. -
How can we be sure you saw him through the screen??

To quote the Loaf of Meat ... you took the words right out of my mouf. -
Someone should call Cashman and let him know that the Yankees' pitching sucks and that trying to win games 10-9 every night isn't a great recipe for success.

Giants cut Kelvin Benjamin for what??
Gugny replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Perhaps. Hard to know if we'll ever know the facts. -

Agreed. I still think not having the conversation behind closed doors was unprofessional. -
We're so sorry, Uncle Albert We're so sorry if we caused you any pain We're so sorry, Uncle Albert But there's no one left at home And I believe I'm gonna rain.

I don't think he was looking for that question ("what's your suggestion?") to be asked. I think he was simply looking for input, which is different. The notion of employees being part of the decision-making process is not foreign, nor is it unwise. Perhaps the arrogance of GB's decision makers is the reason that Green Bay has had two of the best QBs of all time for the past two decades-plus and only have two rings in that span.

Let me preface by saying that I think Aaron Rodgers is one of the biggest douches in all of sports. That said, the way I'm interpreting everything that he's saying (when context is actually provided) indicates that all he's wanted is some dialogue prior to making moves that directly impact the offense. I don't think he's asking to make the decisions ... just to be part of the thought process. Like him or not, I do think he's earned that right as an imminent first ballot HOFer and a SB Champion who's played his entire career with Green Bay.

I agree with Levi. I think you got a refurbished phone and they got caught with their pants down. I'd raise holy hell. -

KB's side ... https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/31909133/receiver-kelvin-benjamin-critical-new-york-giants-coach-joe-judge-release Clearly a Levon Bell-type situation where a player was forced down a coach's throat. Benjamin was a huge disappointment during his Bills tenure. Cutting him definitely seemed like the right decision. Choosing a public forum to let him know he was being fined, then engaging in a shouting match - to me - seems pretty Bush League on Judge's part. -
Papa John's. $13.99.

https://www.11alive.com/article/sports/olympics/kerri-strugs-iconic-1996-olympic-moment-in-new-light-after-simone-biles-exit/85-5993cd43-c1ca-48cf-b726-57c4c6c70881 Pretty great reality check for those of us who remember Kerri Strug's 1996 performance in which she was reduced to using one leg and was still "encouraged," (forced) to go out and finish - which she did in agony. I remember being in awe of it when it happened. But ... to the author's point ... now that I'm a parent, I feel a lot differently. A lot. Biles said she made the announcement to protect her mind and body, rather than "just go out there and do what the world wants." An Idaho father wrote a Facebook post commending Biles' decision to step down, saying the Olympic moment has made her an "even better example to our daughters." "Our athletes shouldn't have to destroy themselves to meet our standards. If giving empathetic, authentic support to our Olympians means we'll earn less gold medals, I'm happy to make that trade," Byron Heath wrote in the post. Heath said he once was excited watching Strug's famous one-leg vault, but on Tuesday he wasn't as inspired after re-watching the gymnastics champion along with his daughters as she landed her second vault and crumbled in tears and agony.

I know you and I have discussed this, but I highly recommend, "Songs in the Attic," which is a compilation of live recordings of Billy Joel's earlier material - including the song you posted. I bought that album when I was about 10 years old and it's STILL a go-to for me. Never gets old. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Songs_in_the_Attic Side one "Miami 2017 (Seen the Lights Go Out on Broadway)" – 5:05 Performed June 24, 1980, at Madison Square Garden, New York, NY "Summer, Highland Falls" – 3:03 Performed July 23, 1980, at The Bayou, Washington, D.C. "Streetlife Serenader" – 5:17 Performed July 20, 1980, at St. Paul Civic Center, St. Paul, MN "Los Angelenos" – 3:48 Performed July 10, 1980, at Toad's Place, New Haven, CT "She's Got a Way" – 3:00 Performed June 1980 at Paradise Rock Club, Boston, MA "Everybody Loves You Now" - 3:08 Performed July 23, 1980, at The Bayou, Washington, D.C. Side two "Say Goodbye to Hollywood" – 4:25 Performed July 14, 1980, at Milwaukee Arena, Milwaukee, WI "Captain Jack" – 7:16 Performed July 5, 1980, at Spectrum, Philadelphia, PA "You're My Home" – 3:07 Performed July 23, 1980, at the Bayou, Washington, D.C. "The Ballad of Billy the Kid" – 5:28 Performed June 24, 1980, at Madison Square Garden, New York, NY "I've Loved These Days" – 4:35 Performed July 16, 1980, at The Horizon, Chicago, IL I've Loved These Days is a great tune about growing up. I can't help but reminisce about different times in my life every time I listen to it and I never hear it without becoming a little verklempt. If you ask me, that's the sign of some pretty ***** awesome song-writing!
