  1. I only watch ESPN when games are on. On my morning commute (about an hour), I split my listening between three shows: Local morning show (half music/half talk - I only want talk in the mornings); Free Beer and Hot Wings; and ESPN Radio (Mike/Mike, Golic/Wingo, now Keyshwan, JWill and Max Kellerman). I start with whichever station isn't on a commercial break/playing music. Then I switch the station every time a commercial or song comes on. As far as the ESPN morning shows go, Mike/Mike was the best of what's been offered. I actually like Keyshawn Johnson. I think he's smart and he's funny - and I enjoy his commentary. Jason Williams, I could take or leave. Zubin worked about one day a month. I've never been a Max Kellerman fan and that hasn't changed since he joined the show. He spends too much time plugging his other ESPN shows/appearances and bragging about his past appearances. I was never - and still am not - a big Mike Greenberg fan, but Mike/Mike was so much better than anything that has followed it.
  2. He only had 3 passing touchdowns and Stafford had 4. I think Stafford deserves it based on that stat, alone.
  3. This is fantastic. Eugene Levy can scream at someone else for 4 hours.
  4. Do they still show the game without the other idiots talking? Is it possible to watch the entire game on ESPN2 and just listen to the Manning banter?
  5. I picked the wrong week to stop using the REPORTANDO function!
  6. It's more of a hindsight indictment than saying Beane effed up. To be clear, I'm not calling him a bust.
  7. Crap. I missed that. Thank you for publicly shaming me.
  8. I would consider using the 38th overall pick on an inconsistent guard as an over-draft.
  9. I feel like I utter that exact phrase at least 14 times per day.
  10. I wish I knew when they're going to be on, because I've always been a fan of the Manning Bros. (as funny guys). But once again, ESPN has put people in the booth that force me to mute the TV. After 2 minutes, I ask myself, "why is Steve Levy yelling at me?!?!" The guy never stops yelling. It's how he talks. I just can't stand it. Is he Booger bad? Probably not. But still bad enough for me not to listen. And I'm not glued to the TV for these games, so I wish there was some sort of a schedule to know when the Mannings are on.
  11. I think it's safe to say at this point that Ford was over-drafted.
  12. Considering the fact that after Ken Stabler, the next Alabama QB to become a starter in the NFL was AJ McCarron ... I think the sample size is ample.
  13. This isn't much scarier than when Jacksonville brought Tebow in.
  14. From the shoutbox: "... next store neighbor ..."
  15. This reminded me of when the ref threw the flag into Orlando Brown's eye. Whilst looking for video, I learned that Brown died back in 2011 from diabetes complications. I had no idea he died!!
  16. If Mike Glennon and Merton Hanks had a son ... this would be him.
  17. Knock it off.
  18. I'm not a big basketball guy, but I do remember listening to Doris Burke as a frequent guest on "Mike and Mike in the Morning." It seemed clear to me that she was super knowledgeable about basketball, but as a guest on that show - she bored me to tears. Something about her voice and just overall lack of enthusiasm made me want to change the channel. That said, I have seen Kirk Herbstreit many times on TV and thought he's great. But as a Mike and Mike guest - he, too, put me to sleep. He was consistently horrible. I guess some people are more suited for TV than radio and vice versa.
  19. I don't believe you.
  20. Josh has massive hands And we all know what that means He wears massive gloves?
  21. Don't ever talk to me again.
  22. I was even rooting for him when he was on the Jets (because I knew they weren't a threat). I felt bad for him the day the Jets drafted him. I am VERY happy to see him help lead his team to a (3-0) start. One of our local DJs opined that had Darnold played for the Jets for ten years, he probably never would have won three games in a row. He said it jokingly, but then realized it was probably accurate ... and I agree. Go Sam!!!
  23. Yes, because only poor people drink and get unruly. Brilliant.
  24. It shouldn't throw this thread into a spiral. It's a fact. As @K-9 mentioned above - "Over the last generation, the middle class has slowly been priced out of attending sporting events on an increasing basis."
  25. No. I don't. But what about middle class and upper middle class people (aka - the ones you left out of your question)? Many of THOSE people are the ones buying season tickets.
