50 Years Ago Today (March 15): An Offer Was Made That Could Not Be Refused
Gugny replied to Gugny's topic in Off the Wall
Same here and I LOVE that! -
It isn't BS. Here's a list of tackles for loss last year. If you want to see Edmunds, get that scrolling finger warmed up ... https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/player-stat/defense-tackles-for-loss

So you're happy with what you've seen in Edmunds?

It wasn't one of those fancy storms with a catchy name, but it was a major snowstorm back about 6 years or so ago. The storm started in the early afternoon. Wet/heavy snow coming down at least an inch/hour. I was at work, which was about 60 miles from home. Plows were nowhere to be seen, which is rare, but that was my luck. The northway (I-87) was covered with 6-8 inches of snow and people were making their own lanes. I was driving a Nissan Versa Note, hugging the right side of the highway, going about 20mph most of the time. All in all, it took me 2 hours and 45 minutes to go 60 miles and it was the worst, scariest driving experience I've ever been through.

Protecting the sidelines and giving one of the best QBs in the NFL with elite receiving options the entire middle of the field with plenty of time will never result in being called a genius ... nor will it result in a win.

Hmmm ... just bought a NY strip at the grocery store yesterday. And I ain't got no pi!

I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.

I heard that while his face was down, Tre asked Gronk if his mother was ever a prostitute.

Giving up that lead was VERY preventable. More preventable than a fluke kick return; more preventable than a missed FG. That's why I consider it worse. I'm not asking you to agree with me. I'm simply opining.
-
I think it's worse than both of those failures.

Ouch. I'll take Donkey Kong Jr., please.

Davante Adams tells Packers he won't play on franchise tag

Which could really have not gone worse for Bell. I wish players would get blackballed by all 32 teams for life for pulling crap like this. -
A recent Shout made me think, who is the greatest blind singer?

I never saw that coming! -
Who is to blame for our lack of Lombardis?
Gugny replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
Many factors, but my knee-jerk response to this is that Beane has not done well addressing the lines on both sides of the ball. I think Beane has done a fantastic job overall, and I wouldn't want anyone else at GM. But the success this team has had has been because of one person: Josh Allen. Not many QBs would be as successful behind that crap line. And the defense, while on paper and with deceiving statistics saying it's a "Top D," has been a failure. Everyone wants to bang the 13-second drum, but the fact remains that giving up 36 points in regulation is not going to result in a W the vast majority of the time. Last season was the easiest road to the Super Bowl the Bills will likely ever see. Poor coaching is what kept the Bills from going to/winning the Super Bowl. But still, I would be shocked if the Bills don't win at least one in the next 4-5 years. -

Are you talking about the Bills organization in its history (zero Lombardis), or are you talking about the Bills under the Pegulas, or are you talking about the Beane/McDermott regime? -
I'm clearly in the minority, here, but I am actually happy with this. After Booger ... THEN LEVY .... this is a welcome and positive change for me. I'm getting a headache just thinking about Levy screaming at me for four fu*king hours every week. However, whenever the Manning Bros., are on - that's the channel my TV will be on.
-
You make a good point about other QBs achieving success after many years. But after his amazing MVP season, he has regressed in each of the two following years. If the team ever goes far with him under center, it will be a run like the Dilfer Ravens and the Manning Broncos; where the QB meant next to nothing.
-
Lamont is a great regular season player when healthy, but he will never lead a team deep into the playoffs. He's proven both of those things. As long as he is their QB, the Ravens are not a threat. He's just not that good.

I was a big Bob Foster fan during his Bills tenure, too. His immediate drop-off was a head scratcher.

Time Out: Easily my favorite song from the Blues Brothers. Okay ...GAME ON!!! Now, the doctor came in stinking of gin And proceeded to lie on the table He said, "Rocky, you met your match" And Rocky said, "Doc, it's only a scratch And I'll be better, I'll be better, Doc, as soon as I am able"
