The Latin phrase is to talk about over and over again. Whipty doodle doo is a quote from a rooster who doesn't like to say the word c.ock.

Day after day, alone on a hill The man with the foolish grin Is keeping perfectly still But nobody wants to know him They can see that he's just a fool And he never gives an answer

You don't draft a guard in the 1st ... or do you?

Ahhh, there it is. The uncalled for insult. You never disappoint. Oh ... by the way, pumpkin ... you really are upset because you haven't been able to let this go for over a week. 😘 -
No, of course I'm not mad at her!! She didn't consistently over-pursue, let running backs blow past her, then jump on a pile to claim half of a tackle to pad her stats!

He's a 5th year rookie and he's only 17. Please be patient.

Off topic, but I'm okay if Edmunds sits out. 😀

Looking forward to seeing you at the home opener!!

That's like saying QBs who slide instead of putting their head down to get more yardage aren't putting in 100% effort. I get it ... it would be great if Gilmore sacrificed his body to make solid tackles. But there's a difference between playing hard and playing smart. I'll gladly take the broken up passes and INTs at the expense of some missed/half-ass tackles. Availability is the best ability.

Gilmore has always tackled like a wuss. That's just part of his game. In his final season with the Bills, he also had 5 INTs, which was the 2nd best of his career - and he played in 15 games.

Welcome back, dude!

Overrated?? He was one of the best CBs in the league when he was in Buffalo, which was an absolute dumpster fire at the time. He wanted to get paid and win. Buffalo was dedicated to neither and he ended up doing both with New England. Not sure why that makes him the bad guy.

After a very unimpressive rookie season, Dom has dedicated himself to being better and yes, I agree, it has shown. He was supposed to be our next Keith Hernandez. Alonso said "hold my beer." But Dom has been great. I'd much rather keep him, but would also love to see him as a true 1B on another team and to kick ass. He handled the transition to LF very well and has been a great team player and always prepared to play. Mets seem to insist on playing people out of position and it burns my ass.

I did hear about the trade. Hosmer would be an expensive add-on, similar to when we had to take Cano when we got Rodriguez. There is no place on the roster for Hosmer - not to mention, I still hate his guts from the World Series. And I also read that they're trying Cano out at 1B. Mets continuing to do Metsy things. A little frustrating. Scherzer does concern me because of his age. And I agree that Jake might be toast.

@Another Fan @SinceThe70s - Season hasn't even started and deGrom an Scherzer are both down. deGrom out for months. I am always super optimistic going into the season, but this is NOT good. I think we could be fuct.

Totally agree re: the financial district. I got a room in a hotel across the street from the Westfield mall on a reservation site through work. There was some sort of glitch and I got the room for like $120/night. Subway station was right across the street (same side) from the hotel, so it was super convenient. That was the year we did the Observatory, so that was just a short walk away. We use the subway to get everywhere (we - as in my son and I; years ago, my then-wife didn't like using them). One of my must-do's whilst in the city is to walk by the Dakota, then to Strawberry Fields in Central Park. For years, we'd stay at the Belvedere in the Hell's Kitchen area. I would leave my son and his mother in the room to sleep in/take forever to get ready and head out on my walk. That's when I would go to Strawberry Fields. It was a nice jaunt, but it relaxed me. Now, my son enjoys it, so we make it part of our plans when we go.

Hammer is a star - will Will Smith slap him?

I don't think giving him the keys to your car would be the best idea. 😀 -

I think something like The Battery (outside of Truist Park in Atlanta) is exactly what needs to be developed outside of the Bills' stadium. https://batteryatl.com/ -

This really seems to bother you. For that, I am sorry. -
For over a decade (until Covid hit), I've taken an annual trip to Manhattan, usually for a 3-night stay. We always try to pick one scheduled excursion (Statue of Liberty, museums, shows, etc.), a Mets game, then just flying by the seat of our pants. I love it. I love the pace. I love the atmosphere. Love the people watching. Love the attitude of the city. It's been two years and I'm looking forward to getting back down this summer. I live about a 3 hour drive north of there. We hop a train about 2 hours north of the city, then just take the train in and walk (or take a subway) to our hotel. Used to drive in, but even though it's cheaper, I enjoy the restful trip in/out. It's one of my most favorite places on the planet.
