  1. RIP. I’m happy that ESPN stuck with him as he battled cancer. One of the last greats for the network.
  2. Pretty sure Hines is happier than everyone here.
  3. Southern_Bills better keep your head. Don’t forget what your good book said.
  4. “She was asking for it,” in other words. Gotcha.
  5. I think what I’ve learned is that when a woman claims to have been assaulted by a football player, that a lot of TBDers believe she’s lying 100% of the time. Great fan base!!
  6. @Virgil - GIVE ME A SIGN!!!
  7. Two of my closest friends got engaged after being together for 10 years. I think since they were both previously married and both in their mid-to-late 40s when they began dating, the length of time between first dating and deciding to tie the knot is understandable.
  8. Stains in the front or the back? (asking for @mrags)
  9. The OP should rename the thread to “The Ultimate Whataboutism Thread.” This discussion WAS about pit bulls. The statistics are out there and they are real. They’re a menace to society.
  10. Breeding them should absolutely be banned.
  11. You do realize that politics has not come up once in this entire thread, right? That’s likely because it’s not a discussion about anything political. PPP is for Political discussions. We are talking about dogs. There is nothing wrong with this conversation. The only people getting off topic and angry are the handful who disagree with the OP. If the topic is not your cup of tea, simply don’t join the conversation.
  12. I am not disagreeing with anyone who says that dogs’ behavior is molded by their owners. I also believe that pit bulls are overbred, which doesn’t help matters any. Can a pit bull be raised in a loving home by responsible owners and live a complete life with no violent incidents? YES. But the statistics overwhelmingly show that many of the attacks on other dogs and people (often their owners/family) are not the fighting dogs or dogs raised in bad environments. They are the dogs who’ve never bitten anyone before. They have triggers. It’s not their fault and it’s not their owners’ fault when they suddenly snap. It’s unpredictable and unavoidable. It’s really no one’s fault. My point is this: why do we continue to breed these dangerous animals, knowing there is no controlling them? It makes no sense.
  13. Real statistics say otherwise. And there’s nothing off color or over the line in this thread. It’s simply a topic for discussion, which is kind of what we do here. It’s fine to disagree, but I don’t see the point in running to mommy and daddy about it. It’s easy to refrain from clicking the link and moving onto another thread about the Chiefs.
  14. You have Doug Flutie? Keep him.
  15. It would still be significant forward progress. For me, it would depend on how/why we lost the SB. A fake punt call giving the ball to the worst player on the active roster would want me to have him fired. Not that he’d ever do that in a post season game.
  16. There is no training or socializing that will prevent a pit bill from being triggered to kill. It is in their DNA. They can’t stop it and neither can the best dog owner.
  17. You didn’t seem to feel this way when you threw @CountryCletus into a tree at Hammer’s Lot.
  18. The schnowman shtick gets on my nerves, too.
  19. I would find it refreshing if he would come out and say, “I effed up.” His lack of accountability is bothersome to me.
  20. Brilliant contribution to the discussion.
