  1. As a veteran, I have always believed this notion of ex-military being better-equipped to handle firearms is absolutely ridiculous. First of all, some of the most ignorant and most stupid people I've ever known were those I served with. Secondly, for those vets with firearms training/experience, there's a decent chance that they could be suffering from PTSD to some extent. Why on earth do people think they're the best ones to provide semi-automatic weapons? And then have those people, with those weapons, IN OUR SCHOOLS? More guns is the answer to NOTHING. Semi-automatic weapons in ANYONE's hands is a continuous step backwards.
  2. Not ALL of 'em!!
  3. I think, due to its recency, that it could come across as sour grapes. It's not like Bienemy benched Shady in his prime. EDIT: I will add that I was/am a Shady fan.
  4. Not a great look for Shady. Not doubting that he's telling the truth, though.
  5. The husband of a teacher killed in this horrific attack has died of a heart attack. They were married for 24 years and had four children. https://www.tmz.com/2022/05/26/uvalde-elementary-school-shooting-teacher-husband-dead-heart-attack-dies/ Irma Garcia was one of two teachers killed in Tuesday's mass shooting, and now her family has announced her husband of 24 years, Joe Garcia, is dead too. Local reporter, Ernie Zuniga, says Garcia suffered a fatal heart attack ... and that the two had 4 children together. A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family. 😢
  6. At least you're honest. Seriously; that's refreshing!!
  7. Well we all know that noise suppressors are only available to elite white people.
  8. Well ... it has a dishwasher, so this is a no-brainer!
  9. I haven't tried this yet, but intend to.
  10. I get that the juice ain't worth the squeeze sometimes. I think back to when the Eagles signed Vick, knowing there would be scrutiny. But Vick was still a legitimate starter in the league and they felt that it was worth the circus it would bring. Kaep's problem, initially, was that he wanted to be a starter and make starting QB money at a time during which his stock had fallen due to his on-field play. However, I firmly believe that he WAS blackballed, because over the years, many teams went into seasons with starting QBs who were clearly worse than Colin Kaepernick ... including the Bills. And here we are in 2022, seeing a sexual predator get a megadeal. Seeing multiple woman abusers getting big contracts. We've seen players like Tyreek Hill and Joe Mixon beat the daylights out of their girlfriends, then get drafted high a year or two later. Yet someone takes a stand against social injustice ... harming literally not one person on the planet ... and we watch teams start QBs like Nate Peterman, Jarrett Stidham, Tua Tonguoulahla;jhsda;fha, Gardner Minshew, Mason Rudolph, etc. That is pathetic. Again ... I understand not wanting the negative attention (all because he took a knee during a song) and I get that he was not an elite starting QB. But to say that ZERO teams giving him a shot to compete is solely because of his play, to me, is pretty silly.
  11. I, too, wish MLB would implement a salary cap. The luxury tax clearly doesn't deter bigger market teams from spending insane amounts of money. However, as a Mets fan, I can tell you that spending does not necessarily equate to winning ... or even being good, for that matter. In most seasons, the World Series teams are NOT in the top 5 of MLB payrolls. When the Mets last made the World Series in 2015, they were 21st in payroll. When it all comes out in the wash, it's all about HOW the money is spent, and to a larger extent, how well an organization builds its farm and brings up homegrown talent. That's how the Yankees built their dynasty back in the Joe Torre days. Buck Showalter and Gene Michael built the farm and Cashman spent George's money in the right places.
  12. Where in NY? I haven't seen $10/dozen in YEARS!
  13. Smoked wings, yes. Cottage cheese ... I'd rather eat Roseanne Barr's ass.
  14. Why is Josh running like a girl after the ball was caught? Color me concerned.
  15. We had the place to ourselves. Atmosphere was fine. Music (I think it was Sirius Yacht Rock) was great. She got a 20% tip. The food was bush league and we'll never go back. Girlfriend got a steak quesadilla that was big, but lacking flavor. Buddy got fish and chips and the fish looked like it was a Gorton's Fisherman special. His wife got boneless wings that were overcooked. My wings were good. But not $2/wing good by any stretch. Not her fault. She was nice, so she got the 20%. She'll just never see us again, that's all.
  16. Schroon Lake (the lake and the area) is beautiful. My son and I rented a cabin in Johnsburgh last year and loved it. Yeah .. I know cheap wings are a thing of the past, for sure! But anything less than 10 in an order is ridiculous to me. $15 for ten wings at this time, to me, is something I'm okay paying. Not happy .. but okay.
  17. Without getting into WHY wings are more expensive, the bottom line is that they are. What I've noticed since this recent increase is that restaurants are either listing FAIR MARKET PRICE on the menu, or - lately - just putting a crazy price on there. Over the past several months, I've had wings on multiple occasions. I'm not sure about where you live, but where I am (Saratoga/Lake George region), a dozen wings is unheard of and has been for years. The standard is now 10. In the last two weeks alone, I've noticed two different establishments now serving 8 wings as an order. The average price is about $16. I talked myself into being okay with paying $16 for 10 wings. I even got duped into getting 8 wings for $16 last weekend. The bartender/server told me that they were bigger and meatier than the average wing. The little slut lied right through her teeth. They were standard wings and I paid $2/each. Never going THERE again. Interested to know others' local trends.
  18. My usage of the word "stewardess," was also tongue in cheek. Your sarcasm radar needs to be calibrated. Have you flushed your hot water heater?!?!
  19. The Walmart bag comment was meant to be light-hearted.
  20. Because Ralph Wilson was inept and the Pegulas were arrogant, stupid and inexperienced enough to cherry pick Rex Ryan. I'm not saying that Whaley was a great GM. He was not. But hiring the head coach is part of most GM's job description.
  21. Was there a Walmart bag in that video that I'm missing??
  22. Nobody in the public knows how it all began/who instigated the altercation. Nobody. And she is a YES.
