  1. Swiatek is about to extend that streak. She is pummeling Pegula, unfortunately. 6-3, 5-2 as I write this.
  2. I agree that they both sucked. The fact remains that the Bills had that TEN game won and RJ was the QB who played. Was he good? NO. But he did enough to have the Bills on top when the offense left the field for the last time. And there's no way you can really believe that RJ was the worst starter in the past 40 years. Collins, Flutie, Losman, Edwards, Taylor, PETERMAN ... common man.
  3. Flutie never "led" the Bills to any wins, let alone ten. He sucked and he's a little prick.
  4. I don't recall anyone ever saying Kaepernick divided the locker room in San Francisco. Flutie? He's a little self-serving a-hole and always has been. I'm interested to know why you made your comment.
  5. Kaepernick earns a few million/year in endorsements and has a net worth of about $20 million. His real job has been working with not-for-profits and civil rights groups. Pretty noble if you ask me.
  6. Charges to be dropped. And rightfully so ... https://nypost.com/2022/05/31/motion-filed-to-dismiss-jerry-jeudy-domestic-violence-charge/
  7. You some kind of yinzer, or something?
  8. I was pleasantly shocked to see Pegula seeded 11th. She's really come a long way. She'll need Swiatek to stumble in order to win, but you never know!
  9. I am cautiously optimistic. On 5/30/21, we were 26-20 with a four game lead atop the division. What's impressive this year is that we're doing it without deGrom and Scherzer. What stands out to me the most is situational hitting. We're making contact better than we have in years. We're also playing better defense than we have in years. Those two things are difference-makers and what puts teams above others. I will give Buck Showalter a TON of credit for that. The players are playing solid fundamental baseball and they're playing SMART. They're also having fun (winning helps). But they are taking a far more professional approach every day and it is visible, as are the results. If the Mets play .500 ball the rest of the season, they will finish with 89 wins. The sooner that becomes 100, the better I'll feel. Keep winning series. Keep winning after a loss. It's nice to know that Showalter is under no pressure to rush deGrom or Scherzer back. Plus, we will still get Megill and Reid-Foley back sometime next month ... AND McCann. The bench has responded and Buck is pulling all the right strings. It's been a great season so far and I would love for the Mets to be in solid control of the division a month from now. #LFGM
  10. I think I'd rather listen to ESPN than Dead and Company.
  11. UPDATE: So each wing is a full wing. NIce and meaty. 28 of them altogether. So about $.88/wing. They are chilling in the fridge now after being covered in a salt/baking powder mixture and will stay there until I smoke them sometime tomorrow late afternoon, early evening. (pic just for reference; not mine)
  12. Bought some yesterday at our local supermarket (Hannaford) at $3.99/lb. I haven't opened them yet, but they're mostly very good sized flats. I'm estimating it's close to 60 wings (I bought two packages totaling about 8 lbs.). I'll update when I have the actual totals, but I'm prepping them today to throw them in the smoker tomorrow.
  13. As a veteran, I have always believed this notion of ex-military being better-equipped to handle firearms is absolutely ridiculous. First of all, some of the most ignorant and most stupid people I've ever known were those I served with. Secondly, for those vets with firearms training/experience, there's a decent chance that they could be suffering from PTSD to some extent. Why on earth do people think they're the best ones to provide semi-automatic weapons? And then have those people, with those weapons, IN OUR SCHOOLS? More guns is the answer to NOTHING. Semi-automatic weapons in ANYONE's hands is a continuous step backwards.
  14. Not ALL of 'em!!
  15. I think, due to its recency, that it could come across as sour grapes. It's not like Bienemy benched Shady in his prime. EDIT: I will add that I was/am a Shady fan.
  16. Not a great look for Shady. Not doubting that he's telling the truth, though.
  17. The husband of a teacher killed in this horrific attack has died of a heart attack. They were married for 24 years and had four children. https://www.tmz.com/2022/05/26/uvalde-elementary-school-shooting-teacher-husband-dead-heart-attack-dies/ Irma Garcia was one of two teachers killed in Tuesday's mass shooting, and now her family has announced her husband of 24 years, Joe Garcia, is dead too. Local reporter, Ernie Zuniga, says Garcia suffered a fatal heart attack ... and that the two had 4 children together. A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family. 😢
  18. At least you're honest. Seriously; that's refreshing!!
  19. Well we all know that noise suppressors are only available to elite white people.
  20. Well ... it has a dishwasher, so this is a no-brainer!
  21. I haven't tried this yet, but intend to.
  22. I get that the juice ain't worth the squeeze sometimes. I think back to when the Eagles signed Vick, knowing there would be scrutiny. But Vick was still a legitimate starter in the league and they felt that it was worth the circus it would bring. Kaep's problem, initially, was that he wanted to be a starter and make starting QB money at a time during which his stock had fallen due to his on-field play. However, I firmly believe that he WAS blackballed, because over the years, many teams went into seasons with starting QBs who were clearly worse than Colin Kaepernick ... including the Bills. And here we are in 2022, seeing a sexual predator get a megadeal. Seeing multiple woman abusers getting big contracts. We've seen players like Tyreek Hill and Joe Mixon beat the daylights out of their girlfriends, then get drafted high a year or two later. Yet someone takes a stand against social injustice ... harming literally not one person on the planet ... and we watch teams start QBs like Nate Peterman, Jarrett Stidham, Tua Tonguoulahla;jhsda;fha, Gardner Minshew, Mason Rudolph, etc. That is pathetic. Again ... I understand not wanting the negative attention (all because he took a knee during a song) and I get that he was not an elite starting QB. But to say that ZERO teams giving him a shot to compete is solely because of his play, to me, is pretty silly.
