Well we all know that noise suppressors are only available to elite white people.

Well ... it has a dishwasher, so this is a no-brainer!

I haven't tried this yet, but intend to.

I get that the juice ain't worth the squeeze sometimes. I think back to when the Eagles signed Vick, knowing there would be scrutiny. But Vick was still a legitimate starter in the league and they felt that it was worth the circus it would bring. Kaep's problem, initially, was that he wanted to be a starter and make starting QB money at a time during which his stock had fallen due to his on-field play. However, I firmly believe that he WAS blackballed, because over the years, many teams went into seasons with starting QBs who were clearly worse than Colin Kaepernick ... including the Bills. And here we are in 2022, seeing a sexual predator get a megadeal. Seeing multiple woman abusers getting big contracts. We've seen players like Tyreek Hill and Joe Mixon beat the daylights out of their girlfriends, then get drafted high a year or two later. Yet someone takes a stand against social injustice ... harming literally not one person on the planet ... and we watch teams start QBs like Nate Peterman, Jarrett Stidham, Tua Tonguoulahla;jhsda;fha, Gardner Minshew, Mason Rudolph, etc. That is pathetic. Again ... I understand not wanting the negative attention (all because he took a knee during a song) and I get that he was not an elite starting QB. But to say that ZERO teams giving him a shot to compete is solely because of his play, to me, is pretty silly.

New York Yankees 2022....Aaron Judge sets AL record with HR #62
Gugny replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in Off the Wall
I, too, wish MLB would implement a salary cap. The luxury tax clearly doesn't deter bigger market teams from spending insane amounts of money. However, as a Mets fan, I can tell you that spending does not necessarily equate to winning ... or even being good, for that matter. In most seasons, the World Series teams are NOT in the top 5 of MLB payrolls. When the Mets last made the World Series in 2015, they were 21st in payroll. When it all comes out in the wash, it's all about HOW the money is spent, and to a larger extent, how well an organization builds its farm and brings up homegrown talent. That's how the Yankees built their dynasty back in the Joe Torre days. Buck Showalter and Gene Michael built the farm and Cashman spent George's money in the right places. -
Where in NY? I haven't seen $10/dozen in YEARS!

Smoked wings, yes. Cottage cheese ... I'd rather eat Roseanne Barr's ass.

Why is Josh running like a girl after the ball was caught? Color me concerned.

We had the place to ourselves. Atmosphere was fine. Music (I think it was Sirius Yacht Rock) was great. She got a 20% tip. The food was bush league and we'll never go back. Girlfriend got a steak quesadilla that was big, but lacking flavor. Buddy got fish and chips and the fish looked like it was a Gorton's Fisherman special. His wife got boneless wings that were overcooked. My wings were good. But not $2/wing good by any stretch. Not her fault. She was nice, so she got the 20%. She'll just never see us again, that's all.

Schroon Lake (the lake and the area) is beautiful. My son and I rented a cabin in Johnsburgh last year and loved it. Yeah .. I know cheap wings are a thing of the past, for sure! But anything less than 10 in an order is ridiculous to me. $15 for ten wings at this time, to me, is something I'm okay paying. Not happy .. but okay.
-
Without getting into WHY wings are more expensive, the bottom line is that they are. What I've noticed since this recent increase is that restaurants are either listing FAIR MARKET PRICE on the menu, or - lately - just putting a crazy price on there. Over the past several months, I've had wings on multiple occasions. I'm not sure about where you live, but where I am (Saratoga/Lake George region), a dozen wings is unheard of and has been for years. The standard is now 10. In the last two weeks alone, I've noticed two different establishments now serving 8 wings as an order. The average price is about $16. I talked myself into being okay with paying $16 for 10 wings. I even got duped into getting 8 wings for $16 last weekend. The bartender/server told me that they were bigger and meatier than the average wing. The little slut lied right through her teeth. They were standard wings and I paid $2/each. Never going THERE again. Interested to know others' local trends.

My usage of the word "stewardess," was also tongue in cheek. Your sarcasm radar needs to be calibrated. Have you flushed your hot water heater?!?!

The Walmart bag comment was meant to be light-hearted.

Was there a Walmart bag in that video that I'm missing??

Nobody in the public knows how it all began/who instigated the altercation. Nobody. And she is a YES.

Those wheelchairs have thousands of asses sitting in them. Yes ... I'd gladly sit in a chair that had luggage in it, rather than God knows how many filthy asses. And who effing cares about him using the wheelchair to carry his luggage? Douche move? Yes. But how does that lead to being assaulted by a stewardess?

During his entire tenure in Buffalo, Whaley never had say in any head coaching hire. The Pegulas embarrassed him by inexplicably throwing him to the media wolves, then publicly humiliating him by keeping him on as a lame duck during the offseason and draft prior to his dismissal. He would never be offered another job in Buffalo and if he were to get an offer he would be well within his rights to tell the Pegulas to go f*ck themselves.

Since every public video begins in the middle of the altercation, how can you say who became violent first? From the videos out there for public consumption, my takeaway is that Langley tried to walk away and whilst trying to put his ear buds in, the stewardess slapped Langley in the face. Then Langley defended himself.

Wait ... did you mean of HIM??

Please stand by.

I wonder if this thread is headed to PPP. Hmmm.

You may be right about the players wanting no part of activities outside of a football game. But it's already clear that most players want nothing to do with playing a football game and those who do aren't going to put on much of a show because no one (understandably) wants to get hurt. My wish is that players would want to be competitive in other ways/doing other activities to have fun with their teammates and colleagues. Perhaps put something on the line in the form of money for the winners' charities/foundations.

Totally agree about the game. I've never thought it held any value whatsoever. I've always felt the same way about "making the Pro Bowl." Means nothing. I absolutely HATED when MLB made the All-Star Game count for something (home field advantage for the World Series). It took every ounce of fun out of it. Before (and after) that, players had fun. Personally, I enjoy watching players have fun outside of their normal element. I'd be all for a way to invite the most engaging, entertaining players for a weekend of fun activities to be televised. Cornhole, golf, skills competitions. All with nothing on the line but having a good time. I don't know how they'd go about choosing who attends. Take a guy like Fitz. Everyone loves the guy, but he's not getting invited to an event based on his play. He would make any fun event more fun, though. Someone else can figure that out. But I'd be all for something that was all about the players having fun with no realistic risk of injury. I seriously don't know how anyone can enjoy a half-ass-played football game, regardless who's on the the field. That's not fun to watch.
