  1. Are people really upset with the OP because they thought he announced his own death? That doesn't sound like an OP problem to me.
  2. @Chef Jim
  3. Forward progress is progress. All the best to Mazie. She's got this!! If you could post a pic of Mazie, that would be awesome.
  4. Anyone going to the PIT @ BUF game - tailgating at Hammer's - who can score me a six pack of this stuff, I'll gladly pay you Sunday for a Six Pack today.
  5. I guess you and I have different definitions of FAMILY.
  6. So you're saying someone needs to take out Bosa. I like it.
  7. This is crazy. They OWE us an update.
  8. I just had to look. Actually, the Yankees lost 3 in a row back in May also. Dropped a double-header to the ChiSox, then lost to Baltimore the next day. Yankees have lost twice in a row six times and three times in a row twice. Mets have lost twice in a row six times and three times in a row once (at the end of June). We face each other twice at the end of July and twice at the end of August. Should be fun!
  9. I think it's a shtick. And .. just as with Nick Wright .. it seems to be working.
  10. They've got some sweet merch! https://shophendersonbrewing.com/collections/rush
  11. Gimme a ticket for an aeroplane Ain't got time to take a fast train Lonely days are gone, I'm a-goin' home My baby, just a wrote me a letter.
  12. Since I began working from home (and stopped commuting an hour each morning), I no longer listen to ESPN Radio. I always enjoyed Keyshawn Johnson, but I've also always been perplexed at how much he digs in on his anti-Josh Allen stance. To say that the Bills don't win because of Josh Allen is nothing short of stupid. And I don't think Keyshawn Johnson is a stupid person, so this is an obvious troll job. I remember Golic digging in on Mahomes not being the real deal. But that lasted like one season before he backed down. Johnson is riding this wave way too long.
  13. I'm sorry to hear about your brother. About 12-13 years ago (I was just under 40), after days of having an excruciating headache (I never get headaches), I went to the doctor, thinking it may have been a sinus infection or something. Turns out, my BP was 225/135 or something close to that. The doctor began checking for signs of stroke and immediately sent me to the pharmacy to get a pill to crash my BP. Then set me up for all sorts of tests at the hospital. I've been on BP medicine ever since and have also been going to the doctor for regular checkups/bloodwork. It is very likely I would have died had I not gone to the doctor that day. Scary stuff.
  14. Looks like it's the Steelers: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/steelers-heinz-field-renamed-acrisure-stadium-as-part-of-new-15-year-naming-rights-agreement/#:~:text=And now Acrisure%2C a Michigan,II said in a statement. "We are excited to partner with Acrisure for the naming rights to our stadium," Steelers President Art Rooney II said in a statement. "Acrisure provided us with an opportunity to ensure our stadium continues to be a valuable asset for our fans as well as keeping up with the market value of NFL stadiums. We are very appreciative to partner with Greg Williams and his company, and we look forward to a long, beneficial relationship for years to come."
  15. I wanna know who will be the next Norman Bates!
  16. Or ... I don't know ... College Basketball fans?? But don't let me stop you from judging people you've never met.
  17. I guess I just don't see the big deal. The game's over by around 10pm.
  18. It wasn't meant to be a serious suggestion that I expect the NFL to consider. Just my ideal. It's not like the game ends at 3am ET. As far as the kids who have school the next day ... big deal? So they're a little tired. For the adults who have to work the next day, if it's too much for you, then take some PTO. It's not like we don't know when these games are: Super Bowl LVII: February 12, 2023 -- State Farm Stadium (Glendale, Arizona) Super Bowl LVIII: February 11, 2024 -- Allegiant Stadium (Paradise, Nevada) Super Bowl LVIX: February 9, 2025 -- Caesars Superdome (New Orleans, Louisiana)
  19. Perhaps the U.S. should just adopt a 4-day work week and solve this problem once and for all!
  20. Either play the Super Bowl on Saturday or make the Monday after the Super Bowl a national holiday.
  21. I don't have satellite TV. During the drought, when the Bills were rarely on regular CBS/Fox affiliates (I live in northeastern NY ... so Giants and Jets got dibs every Sunday), I'd go to a local bar/restaurant to watch the Bills games. On average, it cost me about $45 every time I went. Glad those days are over (for now).
  22. I don't know a lot about our farm system. But what I do know is that Cohen traded a top prospect in Pete Crow-Armstrong last year for Javy Baez, and that did literally nothing. Alvarez seems to be our top prospect now and the Mets haven't had a good catcher since Piazza retired ... so I'm hoping Cohen has learned from his previous mistake. I do agree that it's ideal to build a nice farm. But when you have an owner with bottomless pockets like we do, and no salary cap, it's less of a concern. I'd much prefer a healthy mix of the two.
