I just heard this; great news that he seems to be stable!

I did not have tickets, but I just saw that tonight's Dead and Co., show at Saratoga Performing Arts Center was abruptly canceled. John Mayer's father passed away today. @Logic @The Poojer - They said no other dates would be affected.

Ah, I see. I still think most do, but I know lots of people are enjoying it outside/in the public. The weed I get smells delicious. Skunk weed's always been out there. My friend gets his flower from the dispensary and it also smells delicious.

I thoroughly enjoy sitting in the 300s, preferably on the home side.

I don't see the problem with that. Marijuana smoke smells WAY better than cigarette smoke. Both legal. I see zero issue.

I think NYC/Manhattan is the greatest place on earth. I LOVE it. But after being in Chicago (my most recent trip was my second), I've always said that Chicago was as if someone took a vacuum cleaner to NYC. Such a cleaner city, as you said!! And the architectural boat tour was definitely a highlight for us, too!

I remember you telling me about your friendship with this lead singer (I won't mention the name). Coincidentally, I actually thought about that story over this past weekend while we were boating on Lake George and looking at the million dollar homes!

My girlfriend and I had an absolutely fantastic time in Chicago last October. Loved it.

How to organize the new stadium “Wall of Fame”

That must've cut like a knife. -
My only other two musical encounters happened on the same day back in 1987. There was some sort of music convention in Albany that had representatives for all of the major brands. My buddy and I (we in high school at the time) drove down because to of the reps were Tommy Aldridge (Ozzy, Whitesnake) representing Yamaha drums and Rick Nielsen (Cheap Trick) representing Hamer guitars. I met Rick Nielsen first. I was a HUGE Cheap Trick fan at the time, so I was stoked. I went up to him and said hello. He said, "yo!" Told him I was a big fan and asked him to sign a piece of paper, he responded, "yo!" Told him thank you and it was great to meet him, he responded, "yo!" I walked away, found the nearest garbage can and threw his autograph away. Supreme douchebag. Later that day, we got to meet Tommy Aldridge. He was happy to sign autographs for people. Actually SPOKE to every single person individually, including thanking each person for coming. Such a different experience. He signed the hat I was wearing, which I no longer have. After his little meet and greet, he got on a set of Yamahas and put on a nice little show. After his solo, he took questions from anyone who wanted to ask. He graciously answered questions about Randy Rhoades, Ozzy, even Neil Peart!! Couldn't have been a cooler dude.

FINALLY saw my first bald eagle yesterday (July 4th). My girlfriend and I spent the day on Lake George yesterday with a couple of our friends (their boat). We were on an island, cooking out, swimming, etc., and the two of us took a break from the other two (they never shut up) and went to the dock and sat on the back of the boat. All of a sudden, we saw this beautiful bald eagle with an eaglet in tow. We watched them fly to their nest, then the mature eagle flew back out and snagged a fish out of the lake. Quite a sight and I'm glad we were able to see it.

Agreed. If he comes back, I think it would only be to play for the Bucs. If they're in contention midway through the season (as long as Brady is healthy, they well be), I think it's all but guaranteed that he'll be back.

He's the Herve Villechaize of Chinese porn.

Jessica Pegula's progress in Wimbledon 2022
Gugny replied to Fan in Chicago's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think Badosa has lost a set, so that would have been a tough one. But yes, Swiatek being gone would certainly not have sucked if Pegula kept advancing. Total bummer. -
I kept waiting for the Facebook post!!

https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/34168816/what-bobby-bonilla-day-explaining-why-former-met-gets-paid-119m-every-july-1 Mets aren't the only idiots (but they are the biggest). How rare is this arrangement? Bonilla last played for the Mets in 1999 and last played in the majors for the Cardinals in 2001, but he will be paid through 2035 (when he'll be 72). Here are some other notable deferred-money contracts, courtesy of ESPN Stats & Information's Ryan Milowicki: • Bobby Bonilla (again): A second deferred-contract plan with the Mets and Orioles pays him $500,000 a year for 25 years. Those payments began in 2004. • Bret Saberhagen: Will receive $250,000 a year from the Mets for 25 years (payments also began in 2004; this was the inspiration for Bonilla's deal). • Max Scherzer: Will receive $105 million total from the Nationals that will be paid out through 2028. • Manny Ramírez: Will collect $24.2 million total from the Red Sox through 2026. • Ken Griffey Jr.: Will receive $3.59 million from the Reds every year through 2024 as the deferral from his nine-year, $116 million deal signed in 2000. • Todd Helton: Will get $1.3 million from the Rockies every year through 2023 as the result of $13 million deferred when he signed a two-year extension in 2010.

Jessica Pegula's progress in Wimbledon 2022
Gugny replied to Fan in Chicago's topic in The Stadium Wall
Interesting topic. I took a quick look at Serena's grand slam stats and tried to determine success by age. It looks like between 1999 (18) -2008 (27), she was either champ or runner up in 12 grand slam finals. Between 2009 (28) - 2019 (38), she was either champ or runner up in 21 grand slam finals. -
That's an odd one, for sure. Most speculated Boston, which nearly happened. Maybe it was wishful thinking on his part because he didn't want Rodriguez in the AL East/against the Blue Jays.

Yeah, I screwed up. She'll meet the 4th seed in the semis if all top seeds win. -
Geddy is a HUGE baseball fan, which makes him even more awesome. Everything about the guy is just great. This is an absolutely amazing experience!!!

I'm 51 and I can pretty much guarantee I'd be right around that one minute mark, too!

Four times with her in one day? That kid is a ***** rock star!
