  1. Thanks, GB. Good stuff. And this is what's most disturbing to me ... There is no precedent, here. No one has ever been sued for the despicable acts that Watson has. Going by prior NFL punishments was not only asinine, but a missed opportunity to make a bold statement. Major fail.

  3. What could that po$$ibly be??
  4. No! That was for the Bubble Heads (guys on submarines). As long as they're more than 100' below the surface, there is no gay.
  5. When I was in the Navy, a lot of guys had a "100 mile rule." If we were 100 miles from the base, then it wasn't cheating if they got laid.
  6. That depends. Are we done praying for Dawkins?
  7. This would be AMAZING.

  14. If this means that men will be wearing mom jeans in 40 years, I don't want to live to be 90!
  15. Oh, yeah ... she's a smokeshow.
  16. It was simply a recommendation, not a ruling. A purely optics-driven exercise that, in the end, means absolutely nothing.
  17. I don't feel outraged. I'm simply disgusted. I'm just not disgusted to the point of it affecting my viewing/attendance habits. Those are personal/individual decisions we all choose (or don't choose) to make. I can't even figure myself out. The Mets once re-signed Jose Reyes (wife beater) and I never skipped a beat watching them. But when news came out that Alex Rodriguez was trying to buy the Mets, I was fully prepared to jump ship if that had gone through. We've all got our own limits and thresholds. And to your point ... the NFL knows damn well that the miniscule number of fans who may boycott the NFL won't even come close to being felt.
  18. I can be disgusted with an organization/business and not personally ban them. I am displeased with the actions of companies like Home Depot and Hobby Lobby, but I'll still shop there (Home Depot give veterans 10% off). If that makes me a hypocrite, then so be it. I don't give a rat's ass. I'm not calling for a boycott, here. I'm just saying that the NFL is scummy and protects some of the worst people society has to offer.
  19. We're on the same page, Joe. I've been saying from day one that the NFL should ban this sexual predator for life. But they never intended to even suspend him for a season. This is why I say they're scummy. They've been protecting killers, woman abusers and sexual predators for decades. Scum.

  21. Optics. This whole thing has been a sham from the get-go and it was going to be Goodell's decision all along. The NFL is scummy.

  24. When my band first started, we played our first gig at my cousin's bar (actually opened by my great uncle in 1929) and the agreement was we'd get a minimum of $100, but if the bar did well, we'd get more. Plus we drank (a lot) all night for free. Fast forward a few years and we were pretty highly in demand and making decent money. Once/year, we'd play my cousin's bar out of appreciation for him letting us cut our teeth. And we kept the same agreement in place.
