The entire contract is filthy with protecting his money, knowing that a suspension was coming - from the miniscule 2022 salary to the bonus protection. In fairness, he was drafted in the second round (after moving up two spots) with hopes of becoming a tackle. He ended up being a below-average guard. I don't think this was from any kind of a lack in effort. The kid was simply over-drafted. It happens. Beane is still a phenomenal GM. But he whiffed on Ford.

I wouldn't mind this too much if the artist played songs from the same albums that the hits were on. For example - The Police are always gonna play Message in a Bottle. I wouldn't mind if they skipped that song and instead played No Time This Time, which is song on the same album that was never released as a single. What I don't like is seeing bands past their prime and they think the crowd wants to hear their new music. Psssst ... we don't.

The guy's got it made. He's got a cult following who doesn't care that he plays the same songs every show. Steve Miller is the same (except he's actually good). He played SPAC every summer for what seemed like decades and just rode that greatest hits album that everyone has owned at some period of their lifetime.

Yeah, the Braves have been hot for quite a while. Remember ... they had that 14-game winning streak early in the season and the Mets were still able to keep hold of the division. They are a solid team. Mets have the 3rd easiest schedule in the league for September. August has been a brutal stretch, but the Mets have done well. Marte is on friggin' fire. I used to reserve a room for the first four to five weekends of the season, since I know which game I'm going to (which is usually their second home game) - then cancel the rooms that no longer apply after the schedule comes out. The last couple years, I've gambled and just got the room as soon as the schedule came out and ended up saving money getting the non-refundable rate.
