  1. I'm afraid Tre White will be added to this list next week.

  4. I think the normal procedure is for the Head Coach to deliver the news to the player.
  5. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34443386/source-las-vegas-raiders-plan-release-rb-kenyan-drake HENDERSON, Nev. -- The Las Vegas Raiders plan to release veteran running back Kenyan Drake and absorb a $3.6 million salary-cap hit this year and $4.4 million in 2023 as a result. Drake said in a phone interview with The Associated Press on Monday that general manager Dave Ziegler called him personally to let him know the team was moving on. "He let me know how they were planning on moving forward, how really uncustomary it was for him to tell me himself, and that was just a testament to the respect he has for me as a player, and as a man,'' Drake said.
  6. She's one of them classy broads.
  7. I've never seen Steve Miller, so I was really just talking about the demand aspect. And Abra Cadabra really is a terrible song; especially that guitar solo!
  8. Sweetened or unsweetened? I can handle unsweetened iced tea, but I wouldn't go out of my way to have it. Sweetened iced tea is effin' disgusting.
  9. Glutteny is one of the seven deadly sins.
  10. @Mike in Horseheads
  11. The entire contract is filthy with protecting his money, knowing that a suspension was coming - from the miniscule 2022 salary to the bonus protection. "As CBS Sports' Joel Corry reports, there is language in the Browns' contract with Watson that prevents them from asking for any of his signing bonus or salary back. Below is the official cause from Watson's contract, per Corry. ...it shall not constitute a failure or refusal to practice or play with the Club and Player shall not be in default if: ... (iii) Player is suspended solely in connection with matters disclosed to Club in writing pursuant to Paragraph 42 which results in Player's unavailability to Club solely for games during the 2022 or 2023 NFL League Years. Had Watson's contract not included this language, the Browns would have been able to ask him to return his $8.933 million prorated signing bonus for 2022 if he was suspended for a full season. And with him suspended for part of the season, they could have asked for a prorated amount — number of games suspended divided by 18 — of it back." https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/deshaun-watson-contract-suspension-browns-qbs/sxgdjq8o8ouiyxsz6qf5g1qt They basically paid him his first year's salary as an untouchable bonus. Pathetic and disgusting, if you ask me.
  12. Oh, I didn't hear about those comments. That is disappointing.
  13. In fairness, he was drafted in the second round (after moving up two spots) with hopes of becoming a tackle. He ended up being a below-average guard. I don't think this was from any kind of a lack in effort. The kid was simply over-drafted. It happens. Beane is still a phenomenal GM. But he whiffed on Ford.
  14. This officially makes him a bust.
  15. I wouldn't mind this too much if the artist played songs from the same albums that the hits were on. For example - The Police are always gonna play Message in a Bottle. I wouldn't mind if they skipped that song and instead played No Time This Time, which is song on the same album that was never released as a single. What I don't like is seeing bands past their prime and they think the crowd wants to hear their new music. Psssst ... we don't.
  16. The guy's got it made. He's got a cult following who doesn't care that he plays the same songs every show. Steve Miller is the same (except he's actually good). He played SPAC every summer for what seemed like decades and just rode that greatest hits album that everyone has owned at some period of their lifetime.
  17. Are we still on for this?
  18. Where the hell is Turbo??
  19. He does know the game. And everyone knew when he was right about something.
  20. There's "being able to afford it," and "justifying spending that much money to see a football game." Two entirely different things ... neither of which has a RCH to do with how much money someone makes.
  21. The Browns protected his signing bonus in the contract.
  22. That's a great point, re: Alvarez. If you think about it, we haven't had a legitimately good catcher (who can stay healthy) since Piazza retired. That's a long friggin' time.
