  1. With the refrain of "I shot my baby - down by the river," this song gets your attention. In a 1970 interview with Fusion, Neil Young cleared it up: "There's no real murder in it. It's about blowing your thing with a chick. See, now in the beginning, it's 'I'll be on your side, you be on mine.' It could be anything. Then the chick thing comes in. Then at the end it's a whole other thing. It's a plea... a desperation cry."
  2. Happy Birthday, Tipster!!
  3. I have vivid memories of watching the B-52s perform Rock Lobster on SNL in 1980, not long after my 9th birthday. At that time, I was definitely in the “WTF is this?” camp, lol.
  4. The Doug Marrone Coaching Tree ...
  5. Spot on, eball. I've been asking the same about Kliff Kingsbury since the day he was hired. He was an absolute failure as a college coach and had ZERO NFL experience in any capacity. It's insane.
  6. Anytime I've watched him, I just feel like the game is too fast and the defenses are too complex for him. He lacks accuracy, decisiveness and doesn't seem to see the field well. He takes way too many sacks (he got sacked NINE TIMES in a game last season) because of his indecisiveness and lack of vision. There just seems to be a lot wrong with his game. Being athletic and fast isn't gonna cut it.
  7. We get some rules to follow That and this, these and those No one knows We get these pills to swallow How they stick in your throat? Tastes like gold Oh, what you do to me No one knows
  8. Fields is horrible. How long is his o line supposed to hold their ground when Fields holds on to the ball longer than any other QB in the league? He is terrible.

    It'll probably be at McGeary's!
  11. Can't believe I forgot these in my original submission: Wings: Wings Over America Queen: Live Killers Aerosmith: Live! Bootleg The Queen and Aerosmith albums were my introductions to each band. My brother (six years my senior) had them on vinyl and we shared a bedroom, so I listened to what he listened to. The Wings album was my own purchase (well, my parents bought it for me, anyway). I became a Beatles/McCartney/Wings fan at around 8-years-old and got this album (three-album set) when I was about 10 in 1981.
  12. QB - Justin Fields How'm I doin' so far?
  13. They've been reminding me of the 2004 Red Sox since the Post Season began. I can seriously see them pulling this off.
  14. So would Hunt kick his own tires?
  15. Figured I'd start a thread specific to the Series, since we've got a nice-sized handful of serious baseball fans. As a Mets fan, it's been a tough post-season with regard of picking teams to root for in the DS and CS series. But this was the matchup I was hoping for once the Mets were eliminated and I think we're in for an entertaining series. I've been all-in on the Phillies since the Padres beat the Mets and I'm not stopping now. My prediction: Phillies in six.
  16. HFBD, Fergs!
  17. Ringo is ridiculously underrated as a drummer. The Beatles channel on SiriusXM has a lot of talk segments during the later evening hours. There was one segment that focused exclusively on Ringo’s drumming and how brilliant he was. I’ve always been one to focus on Paul’s bass lines whenever I listen to the Beatles (which is daily). But since Listening to that Ringo segment, I’ve begun to listen more closely to his drumming. He was really amazing.
  18. At my last place of employment, where I worked for 6+ years, there was only one guy in the office who liked sports. We didn't have any favorite teams in common, but we always had great sports-related conversations. My current place of employment is headquartered in Houston. On one of my trips out there, a bunch of us went to dinner. They were all avid sports fans. When the Astros came up, I had to bring up the cheating. I clearly pissed a couple of guys off, but it never got heated or anything. That said ... Go Phillies!!
  19. He gone be upset if he see this.

  21. If I were a Yankees fan, as beloved as Judge is, I'd want the Yankees to spend that $350 million elsewhere. They're loaded with HR hitters. If they can get a decent-fielding RF who can get 80 RBI for a fraction of the price, they'd be much better off. As a Mets fan, it pains me to say that I hope they don't (over)pay deGrom. Sometimes addition by subtraction is the smartest play. Judge had an historic regular season. He'll never come close to duplicating that. It's likely that no one will. He's also going to be 31-years-old to begin the season next year and 2022 was only the 2nd season in which he didn't miss significant time due to injury.
  22. The Yankees need to re-think their strategy of out-homering everybody. It clearly works in the regular season, but it’s just not going to cut it against the big boys. HRs are obviously a big part of today’s game, but they need to be able to manufacture runs, too. Striking out 50 times in four games will lead to getting swept most of the time. Get another ace; get some contact hitters; and for God’s sake get a real manager.
  23. Clear.
