  1. the inverse proportion of Jauron is Carl Mauck
  2. In a perverse way, desirable coaches(and for all we know, outside personnel people) not even wanting to be interviewed for vacancies with the Bills authenticates the our worst suspicions of how badly the franchise is run. It's one thing for fans to grouse on the Stadium Wall, or for a negative column to be written by a Jerry Sullivan or Leo Roth, but when people directly involved or working in the business don't even want to talk to you about an advancement opportunity, things can only be worse than we imagined. Think of a friend being sick. We(the fans) know he's not well but our friend is obstinent. He takes some pills for the pain(hires Marv and now Nix) but his condition worsens. Finally, he goes to see the doctor. The doctor tells him his situation is grim but there... tired of writing this, finish it how you like.
  3. Clayton on WGR w/ Schopp and Bulldog said Wilson doesn't want Marty in Buffalo. There you go, Smithers at his meddling best.
  4. One could argue that Ralph did have a problem paying off fired coaches as the real reason he kept Jauron around an additional(painful) year. With regards to Wade, and I may be wrong about this, but didn't Ralph exert pressure on Wade to fire Ronnie Jones, his ST coach, in the hopes that Wade, having some class, would quit before being made to fire one of his assisants?
  5. Hey, mister moral high ground! The poster merely pointed out that the Bills won't improve while Wilson owns the team. Most probably true. I didn't read anyone wishing for a hastened passing of Mr. Ralph, although when that does happen he will no longer be calling the shots, which, by the way, is purely circumstantial.
  6. I remember that because that's the game that got me hooked on the Bills. My parents had just gotten their first color TV for the big game (a 23 inch Admiral, from Electric Gas on Genesee Street) and house was packed with bills fans. In the week leading up to the game, Felser was saying in the BEN that the Bills didn't have a chance. The more things change...
  7. git 'er dun, Buddy! you good ol' sumbitch!
  8. Here's a rhetorical question: Why would someone who was a finalist to be one of those "decision makers" be in jeopardy of being fired? I'm more concerned with the "same decision makers". In all sincerity though, I agree with your observation.
  9. He was out of touch in '65 too. Felser had the Chargers rolling over the Bills in the AFL title game. Instead, the Bills smoked the Chargers.
  10. Greg Williams blew away Donahoe in his interview too
  11. Clearly, it's futile to explain, but I think you've completely missed the poster's point. Suffice to say, he won't walk in your shoes, nor you in his.
  12. I guess only "true fans" are blindly loyal and don't allow themselves to lament or criticize years or decades of bad management or futility. Wish we all had your constitution.
  13. I feel your pain. I could never support another team like I do the Bills, and if they ever leave Buffalo, I'll stop watching pro football altogether. I wish Wilson would just get off the stage. Meantime,...Go Sabres!
  14. I think Seattle, Cleveland, and Washington have acted impetuously, and will come to regret that they didn't take the time, like the Bills, to conduct a thorough, methodical, thorough, methodical, thorough, methodical..., see if Russ and Ralph their names, or anything about them, "type" search.
  15. Yeah, LMAO, Russ never heard of him and neither did I.
  16. You're kidding, right? You're saying the Lions and Rams are prone to bad decisions and the Bills aren't, and all we have to do is say yes to Frazier to prove that because they didn't? The fact that the Bills passed on Orakpo tells me they're just as prone to make pathetic and woeful decisions. Just sell the friggin team Ralph!
  17. Weren't you campaigning for Fewell a couple weeks ago? Are you a black promo?
  18. How do you know that? Your opinion is no more valid than anyone else's!
  19. I think your spin's reversed, the first guys aren't rushing to be hired.
  20. Jack Spikes Halfback #32, before O.J. or Gary McDermott wore it
  21. Harry Jacobs (aka the baby faced assassin) #64 mlb and John Tracy #51 olb
